Hidden Gem

This company is exceptional. The husband wife team are quite talented and blew us away with a beautiful dinner we had arranged with them. The the wife is an excellent vegan chef and the husband makes exceptional vegan cheese from scratch in the finest French tradition and is also even more talented a pastry chef.

Pros: Fine Vegan Cuisine, Delicious , Wonderful People

Amazing vegan catering and dinners and EXTRAORDINARY cashew cheeses

I’ve been following Green Moustache's (formerly Portela da Ginja) work for quite a while. This service is like 2 in 1: one one hand you’ve got their catering service, mostly for retreats, but also for private events and the occasional pop-up meal at their place in Gradil, Mafra. On the other hand you’ve got Frenchiez, which is vegan cheeses and kombucha.

I regularly buy their vegan cashew based alternatives to cheeses - which are INCREDIBLE and available in several shops in Lisbon! And I have finally had the chance to try their food in a pop-up event at their lovely location in Gradil, and it didn’t disappoint. I particularly enjoyed the savoury dishes, which were full-flavoured and presented in a fairly simple but very petty way (i.e. not pretentious yet with great detail, perfectly matching the set-up on the rooftop). I will most definitely keep purchasing their Frenchiez, which just like the slogan says are indeed better than cheese, but look forward to trying more of their dishes soon... including the sourdough pizzas! Extra kudos for a lovely team (Elena & Matt), ‘cause we all know great food tastes even better when prepared/served with awesome, caring and fun vibes!!

Pros: ALL vegan , Locally sourced ingredients , Makes you not miss dairy cheese

Cons: Wish they had more pop-up events!!
