Best vegan pancakes 🥞 - Edit
Great place to eat and have Vegan Thai and American cuisines in one. Lovely atmosphere, fast and quick service. Ingredients feel fresh and delicious. The chicken was ok, the salad and it’s dressing was good, the fresh coconut was excellent and the pancakes were extraordinary!
Read morePrice was alright. My order total was around $32 (tax and tip included).
Pros: Pancakes, Sweet and sour sauce , Salad dressing
Cons: The chicken could have been better

Good dinner - Edit
Really loved the soy chicken; more tender than most. The onion rings were a little unconventional but a very generous portion!

We had the Curry Noodle and Kung Pao Almond and both were well above expectations. Thai tea is fun as well.

sad burger - Edit
I got a burger, and it was not great. Sort of moist, greasy, and cold. From the reviews it look like the Thai food here is a better bet. My mistake!

Nice food - Edit
I had the yellow Thai curry and it was very nice (though rather soupy). Staff were friendly and the food came very quickly. Portions were large, but not obscene. My only criticism is apart from the banana “egg” rolls they’d run out of dessert.

Full vegan menu with photos of the food. Friendly staff and fast service. Breakfast items are served all day. The “chicken” and pancakes is my favorite. They also serve vegan Thai tea.

Hit and miss - Edit
Drumsticks dinner was very tasty , good portion. Pepper steak my friend had was disgusting due to the sweet chilli sauce and hers was with grilled potatoes which weren’t properly grilled and she literally had like 5 slices:/ she left the restaurant hungry. Waiter didnt even commented on her leaving this steak untouched…

I've loved for years - Edit
So, I will say in advance that I am predisposed towards this place. I have come here for years, I used to come here three times a week after working out and they have the kindest nicest waiter named Top (no idea if that is how it is spelled but that is how his name is pronounced). I loved it because it is very comfortable, they have comfy booths and I would come and read the paper and relax. There were no other comfortable vegan restaurants in the area when they opened some years back.
Read moreI would usually get the tango dinner, I love the way their seitan is prepared or the Pho (which to my broken heart was taken off the menu for a while but now it is back). But they have a huge menu and they make great pancakes with blueberries, their rolls are terrific, and they have many stirfry dishes.
Is it gourmet? Is it high-end? No but it is good solid vegan food and you can make things as healthy or decadent as you are in the mood for.
Today I switched it up and got a Togo order, I ordered the chow mein with soy chicken instead of tofu and it is absolutely delicious with some Sriracha . My fiancé got the yellow curry and wild rice and fresh rolls with peanut sauce.

Random find at Griffith Park area - Edit
Didn't care for spring rolls, overwhelmed with lettuce. Loved the spicy eggplant and didn't skimp on eggplant. Added tofu and the word rice was good.

Likely would try again.

Could Take It or Leave It - Edit
Wasn't my favorite. Unpleasant smell when crossing the threshold. Menu items felt generic and low-effort. I let someone else order for me since nothing piqued my interest and ended up splitting the lentil loaf burger which tasted like a scoop of grey mash on a sugar bun. Also tried the prawn soup, the tofu curry, the glass noodles and vermicelli summer rolls but nothing was very satisfying.
Read moreEveryone's meal seemed to lack fresh, raw, vegetables and imagination that should be synonymous with dining out and a joyful celebration of vibrant, colorful vegan food.
What we got was lots of generic, bland, salty stuff. Extensive use of fast-food style glutamic seasoning, which as a chef never impresses me; tingly lips, upset tummy later, lack of satiety. Hurts to give them less than three stars, since the entire menu is plant-based, but this meal was a bit sad and I'm hoping the feedback will help them step up their game.
Looking for ketchup and fries, and lot's of warmed up, frozen, bulk factory food, this is the spot for you.
Pros: great location

Great feedback. I hope they take the constructive feedback. Sorry to hear that. They could also work on their platings skills. Looking through the photos doesn’t make me want to eat there.

The pancakes! - Edit
Green Leaves is famous for their delicious chicken dinner, and rightfully so. However, don’t forget about the pancakes. I don’t know what they do to the pancakes, but they are the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Truly amazing.

I’ve eaten at this spot on numerous occasions and it’s typically been very good. I’ve had only a couple of things that I didn’t love over the years, but I can usually count on them to make yummy vegan Thai food. #Veganuary

Pretty good little spot - Edit
The only real issue was the wait times for food, and that they only had one waiter on staff and he seemed pretty rushed. He kept trying to leave when we weren't finished ordering because he wanted to grab his tip from the table behind us. Food was decent but atmosphere was lacking

Always a win - Edit
This is by far my husband’s favorite restaurant in Los Angeles. We now live in orange county and make special trips just to come out here. They are fried tofu is exceptional their side dishes are both flavorful and filling. Their pancakes are a win as is their pad Thai.
Read moreOn our latest trip we arrived before the restaurant opened and they were kind enough to offer us a seat and bring our dog some water, all without us having to ask. It seems to be a family owned operation, we always have the same waiter and he is just delightful. It’s very laid-back in a busy area but always feels low-key and private. We love that we can bring our dog and that they are so welcoming. Can’t say enough positive things.
And while they don’t have parking, we’ve always managed to find parking in the surrounding neighborhoods with minimal effort. A must try and repeat.
Pros: Excellent service, Bang for your buck, Ambiance
Cons: Parking

Extensive menu and nice food - Edit
The menu is huge, which depending on how indecisive you are, can be a great or a terrible thing. I liked that there were a lot of options, but I did struggle to pick what to eat. In the end, we ordered the spring rolls, the Kung Pao Noodle, the classic hash brown and the Thai iced tea.

In terms of price, it's on par with other vegan restaurants in LA, not cheap but also not super expensive.
