Geweldig - Edit

Enjoy Delicious Vegan food @ the ocean - Edit
Lots of vegan options all through the menu, lovely staff, this ambient cafe is made of bamboo, sit on comfy cushions at low tables, while looking at the ocean. It's a free diving venue too, it's such fun watching divers come & go. (There are tables & chairs if the floor isn't your thing)

Cafe at the beach - Edit
Great cafe made almost entirely from bamboo.
Read moreLow tables, no chairs and all in all very relaxed environment.
There is a diving school included, so divers go in and out, but they did not bother us.
The cafe is completely open towards the beach and sea.

Yummy - Edit
This place is great for a yummy, fairly healthy meal. We got one of the acai bowls and a few sandwiches and they were delicious. It was fairly priced and the staff were friendly to boot. Highly recommend!

Tasty vegan food, nice view, good prices - Edit
Nice place to eat, with amazing sea view. Menu is great, you can choose between really nice salads, burritos, vegan omelete, which is sour pancake. We have burrito (big and tasty!), super tasty salad with croutons, vegan omelete with lentils.

Snorkeling and diving spot - Edit
Our breakfast spot! With a beach view and option to keep your stuff there in case you want to go to the water. Homemade food, we liked something with fried potatoes. Avocado toast could be better. Not the best juices.

generally healthier options here

UPDATE:
food quality and menu has changed a bit since I ate here last - small things improved (seasoning, coffee) and more vegan options available now, ie. Red Lentil Omelette (haven't tried yet).
there a tempe dish as well, quite nice and light.
for extra hungry, vegan burrito is great.
i personally think the espresso is better than the French press though. it could just be me.

Good amount of decent vegan options - Edit
Bean wrap was good, Thai curry was a bit weird and not really a curry. However, very tasty vegan chocolate fondue and Banana and chocolate crêpe! A little more expensive but not too bad either.

Good vegan options, mostly good quality food, somewhat busy - Edit
Good vegan options across the board, very well labeled. Food quality is good (salad benchmark was good, the rest good and better). Very good bread, esp considering the circumstances. Nice and simple interior with nice view to the ocean.

VEGANS BEWARE - Edit
People with food allergies beware!!!
Read moreI ate here today and am vegan as well as allergic to eggs. I ordered the tahini and date crepe, which is listed as both gluten free and vegan on the menu. This restaurant does a very good job of labeling which of their items are vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free. If only they were as good as actually cooking them that way.
The crepe arrived and I took a bite and it tasted different to the same dish I had the day before and this time it also smelled like egg. I asked the woman if the crepe, listed as vegan and GF on the menu, had eggs and she replied “of course”. She ended up getting really snappy at me and told me that the GF and Ve symbols on the menu mean that there’s an option to have something gluten free or vegan, which isn’t true. One look at the menu and you’ll see what I mean (for example fruit salad is labeled as Ve GF, fruit salad with dairy yogurt is labeled Vg GF)
I came here an hour before a freedive session and ended up getting very sick and vomiting out on the water and had to come back in immediately. If you have any food allergies at all, please for your own health avoid this place or if you appreciate a restaurant run with integrity, look elsewhere. In my year in Bali, this has been my worst restaurant experience, by far.
Pros: Lots of potential vegan options (kind of 🤷🏼♂️)
Cons: Rude staff , No concern about allergies or dietary choices, You might end up eating meat, dairy, or eggs.

Get the vegan burrito! Get the vegan burrito! - Edit
Honestly, I cannot see anyone not loving the vegan burrito. It's perfect. Warm, filling and delicious. Salad with it is a great accompaniment. I had an iced latte with coconut mylk which was lovely but my partner had a ginger iced tea which was much too strong on the ginger front. So she stole my coffee... We'll just have to come back tomorrow morning for breakfast!
Read morePros: Good range of vegan options., Reasonably priced and nice space.

Healthy in Amed - Edit
Delicious. If you want to get away from regular restaurants offering greasy options or friend noodles and rice of regular meat dishes try this place. On the beach. Opened for breakfast until 6:30. Veggie and vegan options. Tasty. Decent portions. Apneista freedive school uses the cafe For their students and courses so it has a great vibe. Cushions and low tables for cozy atmosphere. We will go back.

Many vegan options. Very calm and relaxing. - Edit
The place was visited by many relaxed divers and snorkelers and the atmosphere was very relaxing. A few people would shut their eyes and rest for a moment after their meal.
Read moreThere were a lot of vegan options and i found the food to be mostly OK, not that much above average however. I tried the vitamin C smoothie bowl which was kind of icy which wasn't very nice but the flavors were good. I also tried a protein plate with beans, chickpeas and raw veggies which was OK. I also tried a lentil omelette which was more fancy than it sounded. It was basically lentils cooked into a thick batter and served in a gluten free crepe. It was OK.
Pros: Lots of vegan options , Very calm and relaxing
Cons: Some times slow to prepare and serve the meals

Everything I tried here tasted amazing! Lots of vegan breakfast options and also sweets like crepe and raw pie which were both amazing! Also the tahini toast with dates was sooo good! For lunch there were not too many vegan options, but the vegan burrito was really yummy! Also loved the French press coffee.

Great view on the beach - Edit
One of the few places in Amed with clearly marked vegan options. I appreciate the effort they make to create a cozy space for people to relax, read, chat or contemplate the sea. The room on the beach is scattered with low tables and cushions and they are associated with a freediving and yoga business. The thing I liked the most is their vegan nutella pancake, truly delicious. The Italian coffee is made with a real caffettiera and it has this home feeling to it. The only non-dairy milk they have is coconut milk, which is not the best option for coffee so this should be improved. The smoothie bowls are a bit small for the price you pay and the vegan burrito was watery, but all in all one of the best places to chill out in Amed.

Very limited vegan options. Just a burrito and a pancake. Both are tasty. It's always reassuring when the staff demonstrate an understanding of vegan ingredients. Here they make their own vegan wraps with polenta flour and vegan nut spread which they call Nutella.
