A new vegetarian Asian restaurant in downtown Collingswood. They have a lot of vegan options. Their slushees are vegan. The restaurant is spacious and the staff is friendly and very helpful when telling you the vegan options. Reported closed to HappyCow.

Green House has closed - Edit
I'm so sorry to report that Green House has closed. This was one of my favorite places to eat, and the only all-vegetarian restaurant in the area. But apparently this part of NJ can't support a vegetarian restaurant. Several have tried and they've all suffered from low attendance. The food at all of them was wonderful, but they couldn't compete. I don't know why since there are a large number of vegetarians in the area, and all of the places had low to moderate prices. But the sad fact is that none have done well. And now Green House has closed its doors too. Very sad.

Yum Yum and YUM! - Edit
The food here is incredible. The tofu and string bean dish is amazing. All of the veggies are fresh, delicious, and cooked perfectly. The soups are incredible. I encourage everyone to try this restaurant. The owners are helpful, caring, and friendly. Happy eating.

A little better than mediocre - Edit
I just tried out this restaurant tonight. I would give it 3 1/2 stars (if possible) because, unfortunately as a vegan, I am comparing this to all the vegetarian Chinese restaurants in Philly. It's better than mediocre (definitely better than your typical non-veg Chinese restaurant), but my mind wasn't blown away. Compared to veg Chinese restaurants in Philly, I found the food to be slightly bland.
Read moreThere were 4 of us and we ordered 4 appetizers, and 2 entrees:
Mashed Tofu on the Nori w. Bar-B-Q Sauce - the tofu was a bit soft and chewy (it was definitely meant to be like that, it wasn't under/over cooked or anything), and the sauce wasn't bbq
Veg. on the Stick w. Bar-B-Q Sauce - literally was about 5 veggies on a stick, one being corn on the cob. Again not a typical bbq sauce
Scallion Pancakes - these were good, typical Chinese pancakes
Dim Sum - rice in a dumpling
General Tso's Veg - the menu stated this was hot/spicy it wasn't at all. Came with broccoli and your choice of rice. It was good, just bland
Sesame Seitan - almost the same thing as the general tso's, with a slightly different sauce and sesame seeds.
I would definitely eat here again, try something different. The waitress(es) were very attentive; re-filling our water and tea and also very helpful in giving suggestions on what to eat. Additionally, we were given 15% off the total bill for coming in the first time.
I hope they work on adding some spice to their meals. They have already made improvements, as one reviewer wrote below they played classical music; a "pop" station was on tonight. This would be a perfect place for me to pick up take out. Much better than driving all the way into Philly, slaving against traffic and paying the $4 bridge toll.
If you're vegan and plan to eat here make sure to let the waitress know and/or ask what menu items you can eat. There are items on the menu that state with egg, but I was informed that some of the food is cooked in dairy (or with butter). They are accommodating and can omit or substitute to make items vegan.
Pros: friendly staff, lunch special
Cons: bland food
