Avocado toast

Expensive but vegan and not bad. The Japanese workers are super friendly, however the casual overseas workers are pretty uninterested and rude

Coffee is nice, especially for Japan.

Very fancy avocado toast

Avocado toast has a lot of toppings. The avocado itself was very bland. But the toppings and bread were good

Pros: Style, Some vegan cakes

Cons: Bland, Pricey

Yummy in the end!

Service was slightly on the rude side when we went to order as the lady didn’t seem to be paying much attention. I had asked what the vegan option of the Shakshuka would be and got a reply” that’s on the breakfast menu which isn’t available” which was all well and fine, so I kept looking to see what else I could eat. It appeared the only other option available for lunch was the vegan burger (which was sold out) and then the Hash Roll which could be made vegan, so I just asked for the Vegan Hash Roll. When we went to pick up our order, my hash roll had an egg in it and the docket said hash roll egg. The chef who handed me our food was very lovely and remade it for me quick enough. End result was yum, the roll came with avo, eggplant and tomato chutney. Where you pick up the food seems to be the sister restaurant/bar which has a nice vibe and when I looked at their menu, it appeared they had a few vegan tapas available such as tofu bites (tofu has shockingly been so hard to find during my time in Japan!!) and a few other things - can’t remember what the place is called, but looks like a nice option for lunch onwards and a drink😄

Pros: Vegan Hash Roll - Double check it’s vegan , Bar/tapas restaurant connected next door was nice!

Cons: Not many options past breakfast menu time , Service a little rude, although just 1 person

Nice breakfast/lunch spot

I had the avocado toast with mushrooms and the oat milk matcha latte. The serving was larger than I expected, but 2,500 yen, it was still quite pricy. I tried some of the banana bread too, which was nice.

loved it

Quite a few vegan options (e.g., hash wrap, banana bread, banh mi, burger) but some were sold out by the time we got there. I had the omni burger (1800¥) which was really tasty and came with a side of chips.

My favourite restaurant in Hirafu

Lots of options for vegans and vegetarians! You can go for breakfast lunch and dinner. Delicious food, great location and good atmosphere. Big space indoors with a range of seating options. Outdoor patio too! Love this place.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Fair prices , Healthy options

Avocado toast & Cupcake

I had a super yum vegan blueberry banana cupcake, with a dollop of pink icing. No artificial coloring. Also a generous size avocado toast with potato wedges and greens, marked vegan. They also had vegan baguettes and bagels, and daily baked goods. Cozy atmosphere, and I didn’t wait long. *** The menu had several options for vegans. This seems to be new since the previous reviews. I’ll post a picture of it.

Pros: Avo toast! , Cupcake!

Cons: The restaurant has a meaty smell sometimes.

Nice but limited

Cafe was nice, but the choices were quite limited. I had the bean burger, which was tasty! On that particular day, it was the only option I could have as a vegan. However, part of the menu changes each day so on a different day there could be more options available.

Not a significant amount of “vegan” options.

This cafe was very nice. Quite large for a Restaurant in Japan! They sell some healthy ‘vegan’ product options to purchase... but not a significant amount of the hot food menu.

Pros: Large- Plenty of space, Kind staff, Healthy “off-menu” product options

Cons: Not a lot of ‘vegan’ options.
