Features a bountiful, daily changing salad bar and hot food spread, hearty breads and bakery treats selection made with wholesome sweeteners and organic flour. Self-serve style. Food ingredients are listed. Beverages include kombucha, smoothies, fresh juices, traditional & medicinal teas, and coffee. Now roasts the vegan-friendly certified Climate Wave Coffee in-house that protects wild animals and birds. Renovated a portion of the restaurant's space into a specialty coffee roastery cafe. Open Mon-Fri 8:30am-7:00pm, Sat-Sun 11:00am-7:00pm.

Good selection of great tasting food with plenty of seating in different rooms. We had a share plate of curried tofu chunks, tempeh in brown gravy, roasted veggies and rice with a slice of pesto pizza. Buffet foods are all pay by weight.
Read moreDesserts we tried were all fantastic - sticky ginger cake, white and dark chocolate mousse cake and the berry cheesecake (which was one of the most authentic tasting cheesecakes I’ve tried). Also offers cookies, balls, other slices and ice cream.
Water station available and fridge by the door with to-go items such as tempeh, tofu and krauts.
Pros: Quality food, Friendly service , Location and plenty of seating

A fully vegan buffet with amazing selection , including ice cream, desserts, kombucha on tap, pizza, and really all of the flavors you could ever want. I have to pinch myself whenever we eat here, as it is so dreamy that everything is vegan. This place has a lived in feeling, as it has served the vegetarian/vegan community in Victoria for many years, they even sell their own branded tempeh, mochi and Tofu. Given that this establishment has been around for so long, the decor and interior design is dated, quirky, and a little spartan, but copious amounts of yummy food makes up for it.

Green Cuisine is the upmost best spot for food. They have a full Vegan buffet that covers everything. Soups, salads, rotating amazing entrees like spinach lasagna, spanakopita, mousakka… they don’t mess around. They always have some variation of their amazing tofu and tempeh (which they even make themselves) and other staples such as rice, beans, and delicious roasted potatoes. Onto the sweets and snacks, there’s always several different cookies and cakes to choose from, all sorts of bars, muffins, energy balls etc. They also have homemade ice cream, and homemade kombucha. They’ve even started making their own pizza and noodle boxes which are both just some of the best we’ve ever had. So there’s really something for everyone here and everything just tastes so darn delicious. Check them out for sureeee! And you can even stock up on tempeh and tofu while you’re there!

My favourite - Edit
Green Cuisine was the first all vegan restaurant I found after going vegan many years ago. I'm not from Victoria, but it is a staple every time I visit Vancouver Island. I get most of my meals there, though I do sample the other vegan options in town. I like the variety, and the healthy food. The Peanut Butter cookies are also a must have for me. Green Cuisine is the type of place that feels like it builds a community for vegans. It's the best.

We visited in end of July and were happy that it was opened for dine-in. Buffet style, but i think due to COVID, it was the staff who would put what you see and chosen on the plate. There were salads, hot dishes, desserts, pizza...You will get your plate when you pay (by weight) at the cashier. If i remember correctly, they also have free water stand. It was kind of like Vego in Montreal.

Best tempeh in town. - Edit
Too oily.. some dishes were great and others not so much. There’s so much room for improvement. However, the tempeh made in house is unreal. Especially the smoked tempeh and 7 grain one. I go there just to stock up on tempeh and sometimes treat my self to some desert.

I love this place and there's so many delicious options to choose from. Sometimes I go in just to grab some of their cornbread to take home. But seriously, this place is expensive for what it is. You pay by weight so you can't pile on cheap starches like rice or pasta without it costing a small fortune.

I love to visit green cuisine. The atmosphere is really nice and peacefull here. There are nice sheltered benches outside to have a meal on even if its raining.So many food options. Every time I stop by GC there is always something new in the buffet style food trays. I especially love the unique ways they cook up their tempeh with. Do not miss out on visiting GC you will not be disappointed.

There is definitely a market for this place as it was packed full when we visited. However, the price makes it off limits to those on a tight budget and better quality is offered for the same price around town. It has not seemed to change since I visited 9 years ago. There are a lot of options for food, and a lot of options to nickle and dime you for items (ten cents per squirt of liquid aminos for example). I took my omni partner who is always quite open to vegan options and he was not impressed. The two plates shown in the picture were about $20, and as you can see, it isn't much food. I am really interested in finding out the background of what keeps this restaurant a happening place in Victoria.

Even more expensive than vegan food in lower mainland Vancouver - Edit
The buffet was charged by weight. I doubt me and my boyfriend actually ate 1.6kg of food which worths $38 in total (we didn’t pick up that much food). The plate alone was so heavy and I don’t know if it was deducted from the total food weight. $3 for just a small bowl of soup which tastes bland, other food tastes weird as well, either too spicy or too sweet or no taste at all. Though, the cakes taste really good, we like the deserts. I hate complaining but I think they need to improve the taste of the food to match with the price.

I wasn’t in Victoria for long so I didn’t get to properly sit down and eat a meal here but I tried some of their baking and wow! So delicious and so cheap. Their chocolate roll was messy but amazing, and their ice cream was also delicious.

A must when you're in Victoria - Edit
Lots of choice, especially the enchilladas, I would recommend going a couple of times so you can try everything. I just wouldn't recommend the hot chocolate, it didn't taste like chocolate at all.
