Good Airport Pick-me-up - Edit
YWG is a tiny airport, so I'm always glad that there's at least something to have while waiting on my flight. The smoothies are good even though I'm not always a smoothie person.

Nice to find this place. The airport store is open despite the website saying it's closed for covid.
Read moreDecent selection of snacks, sandwiches, smoothies which can be turned into bowls with some added granola. Also some muffins and pretty nice juices.
The only non-vegan items are some honey in some of the energy bars and the lady knew it right away.
Altogether nice to find and to taste.

I got the Acai Berry Bowl (without coconut because I'm picky like that). It tastes great, but I'm not sure it's really a "bowl". It was served to me in a large plastic cup.
Read moreMy main qualm is that everything is highly packaged and has a lot of plastic. I get that it's airport food, so the main market is to-go... but when you're killing a couple of hours because your flight's been delayed, it'd be nice to have a low-waste option with actual bowls and overall less plastic.
Normally vegan smoothie/juice places can be quite expensive, but Green Carrot costs about the same as everything else you're gonna get at the airport.
I've never seen any sort of line up at the YWG Green Carrot but the time you save in not lining up is gonna be the time you're spending waiting for your smoothie/bowl to be blended up.

Reasonable prices, almost all vegan (a few bars weren’t), friendly knowledgeable prices, and in an airport to boot! Located right beside Gate 7. I hope this place grows to all the airports in Canada.

I fly often and am never impressed with the vegan airport food so was pleasantly surprised to find this place. I got the monkey bowl and it was sooo good 👌👌 I wish I flew through Winnipeg more often just for this place
