Overpriced but nice slices

Lots of green juices available, plant milk options and vegan cabinet food. The vegan slices (bounty bar yum!) are to die for but also extremely expensive, think $7 for a chocolate bar sized slice.

Pros: Great slices

Cons: Very expensive

Nice staff, great smoothie

Nice place with lots of smoothies and bowls and cakes. Food tastes great as well but it is precooked and wasn’t any special

Pros: The staff, The smoothies and bowls, Cakes

Cons: The cooked food is cold, Bit expensive

Has potential but not quite there

I ate here a couple months ago and ordered a vegan Mexican wrap. It was way overpriced at $10 for a very small portion and tasted like a reheated frozen burrito you buy at the supermarkets, not very good at all. I think the menu for smoothies and smoothie bowls looks delicious though and it's good to see another cafe with a whole food, healthy philosophy. I just chose the wrong thing.

Pros: Fresh, whole food options, Smoothies and juices, Lots of vegan options

Cons: Way overpriced, Subpar food, Small portions

Healthy food in The Colombo

The Colombo is a cool little mall with nice shops in up and coming Sydenham. It is just 5 minutes from the city centre or a 20 minute walk. The mall itself has a range of lovely shops selling clothing, jewellery, home decor and other interesting things plus there is a cinema showing art house films. Lots of parking and on a few bus routes so it is easy to get to.
In the center of the mall is a food court with lots of interesting food options and no generic McDonalds or Burger King restaurants. There's a dumpling place, tacos, sushi and Gre3n.
Gre3n has a range of smoothies/brunch and acai bowls/shakes/juices/raw/paleo treats on offer with vegan options marked clearly with a 'v'. They have coconut yogurt and a range of plant milks. It's usually busy so be prepared to wait. They also have a few savoury options such as salads and a felafel salad but there were out when I went.
There is plenty of seating at the tables and chairs in the food court area.

Pros: vegan options clearly marked, friendly staff, healthy choice
