So many unique brands and products that I have never seen before. They also sell packaged raw meals and have smoothies. One of my top 2 health foods stores.

Nice neighborhood market. - Edit
They carry some hard-to-find vegan products and if they don't, they will special order it for you (if possible). Some items are more expensive than chain grocery stores though, but their friendliness and willingness to help find what you need can't be matched. My only wish is that it was a 100% vegan market because I hate reading labels. 😉

They were a veritable treasure trove of great options. Had the standard fare that you’d expect at a Whole Foods, plus many other great brands I’d never even heard of. Plus, they have many ready-made foods that are vegan-friendly and well-priced. I had a tofu mock egg salad sandwich that was amazing. Visited Grassroots on a recent trip to Jacksonville. Very vegan friendly, natural foods grocery store, friendly knowledgeable staff, convenient location, and off street parking. Clean, well stocked, moderately priced, with a decent beer selection, including some from small breweries. Highly recommend; even my non vegan/vegetarian friends liked it. Smoothie & juice bar with some prepared foods, locally sourced produce when possible. Lots of good vegan options in both grocery store and in-store prepared foods. Located in historic Five Points neighborhood. Local parks nearby for picnic lunch opportunities. Close to freeways, downtown.

Although I don't get to Grassroots often because I live in Mandarin, I'm very excited to have recently learned they sell Sheese, the only truly wonderful vegan cheese substitute I have found.
