I loved everything about this place from meeting Grandma to the staff being so accommodating while they were experiencing equipment issues. I drove from DC just to try the food and it was well worth the traffic and gas.

This shop is so vegan supportive, they have vegan versions of almost every menu item--and if you are ordering vegan they filter the sauces and add ons so you only get offered the vegan ones. The waffles are a little on the sweet side for me. I really enjoy the chikn tenders and mac n cheese.

I opted for the peaches & cream waffles, and let me tell you, they were absolutely delicious! Even though I was already feeling quite full when I arrived, somehow I managed to finish every last bite (with a little assistance from my boyfriend, of course). And it wasn't just me who enjoyed it—my omnivore boyfriend also agreed that the soft serve was delightful. I'm already looking forward to returning to sample more of their offerings. With plenty of vegan options on the menu, including vegan mac n cheese and chicken & waffles, there's no shortage of tempting choices. Plus, I have to give a shoutout to the cashier and chef—they were both incredibly sweet and helpful. Count me in for another visit!

There are so many vegan options and it is clear that the owner, Stan, cares deeply about providing the best vegan products possible. The vegan chicken and waffles were amazing- the best vegan chicken tenders I’ve ever had, and a crispy, sweet waffle. Stan and grandma are so lovely and welcoming! My friends enjoyed the non-vegan Mac and cheese as well.

We were on a road trip and needed a bite to eat. I’d heard of this and decided to give it a try. Lots of vegan options (pretty much one for every non-vegan option) and my son had a nice talk with Grandma (namesake). It’s very unfortunate that you can’t leave a five star review, because this was somewhere we will go out of our way (40 minutes away from home) to return to!

I got the peaches & cream waffles and it was so good! I was actually full when I went here, but was somehow able to finish it (with a little help from my boyfriend). My omni-boyfriend agreed that the soft serve was yummy ^^. I really want to come back and try their other items. Their menu has plenty of vegan options - including vegan mac n cheese and chicken & waffle. The cashier and chef were very sweet and helpful. I'll be back!!!

We arrived at opening on a Sunday and received a friendly greeting. We ordered right away and food was brought to our table within 10 minutes. I had the vegan waffle sandwich with egg patty and cheese. It was delicious. My parents, who eat meat, enjoyed their chicken and waffles. There is some humming machinery and a television, so this with noise sensitivity should be forewarned if you plan to eat inside.

Everyone working was super friendly. I love the texture of my waffle, which I nearly scarfed down before remembering to take a review photo. The butter pecan shake was so good, and I love that they have more than the generic chocolate/vanilla/strawberry options for vegan shakes. The vegan egg is kind of generic/bland tasting, but it's hard to find a good vegan egg anywhere. Great place to stop by, nice interior as well.

A vast majority of the menu can be made vegan! One of their menu screens is the savory vegan menu, one is the savory non-vegan menu. Then there is a dessert menu that shows a V for options that can be made vegan.
Read moreWe got chicken and waffles, sausage egg and cheese waffle, a chocolate milkshake, strawberry soft serve and a peaches and cream waffle for dessert. It is really awesome that they have substitutes for chicken, fish, sausage, egg AND cheese! Definitely not a typical one-vegan-option place.
Everything was delicious! Definitely will be going back!

I love the unique waffle-oriented items here. Since the vegan sausage and egg waffle sandwich seemed so popular on this app I tried that and got vegan pepperjack cheese added… was yummy but not very big (basically English muffin sandwich sized). The side of tots was also small, like 10 tots. The grandma sauce was tasty. My favorite item was a salted caramel milkshake! It’s extra great that they have vegan whipped cream.

We went for breakfast and had vegan breakfast sand. The vegan waffles are crispy and terrific twist instead of bread or muffin. They’re not Belgian style. So they’re lighter and crisper … great match w the vegan egg (just egg I presume) and veggie sausage and veggie jalapeño jack cheese.

This place is delightful! They have a vegan menu🥰. I ordered a vanilla shake with whipped cream that the owner tells me they make in-house. I also tried this crabless crab cake on a portobello mushroom. Delicious! This made my tastebuds happy. I went back in to give the owner a hi five and he gave me a free sample of his vegan jerk chicken that had my tastebuds jumping. I’ll definitely be back

Grandma’s delivers for vegans - Edit
We had high hopes for the vegan options at Grandma’s, and we were not disappointed! We were greeted by friendly staff who went out of their way to answer our questions. The vegan options are clearly marked which made ordering a breeze. We ordered the vegan Sausage & Egg on Waffle and added avocado. Wow! The waffle was absolutely delicious and made a perfect breakfast sandwich. We added oatmilk soft serve swirl cones for dessert. So fun! The environment is bright, cheerful and super clean. We can’t wait to return and try more menu items.

Lots to choose from on a separate vegan menu. Grandma & her son & helper were happy to discuss ingredients & make suggestions. I don’t eat gluten, so they withheld the waffle from my vegan egg & sausage breakfast. My husband loved his vegan chik’n & waffle. They happily provided us with oat milk for our coffee. They asked if we wanted to sample their vegan Grandma’s sauce (which is mayo-based) & mango sorbet. Both were delicious! Will go back to try their oat milk soft serve next time.
