FANTASTIC - Edit
First of all the service coming in was phenomenal. They were so sweet and kept asking if we wanted some more coffee. The food was amazing. Probably the best vegan breakfast i’ve had in a long time and it was inexpensive. I got a vegan skillet!

Happy for the options - Edit
It’s rare to find a diner with vegan options. We’re usually left with putting a meal together and making the best of it. This place thinks about the vegan customer and my husband and I were SO happy for it! I had the Vegan skillet & my husband had the Grandma’s delight. Both meals were made with tofu and I’m happy to say it was seasoned so well! It wasn’t just tofu on a plate! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. If we’re in the area again we will definitely stop by ! #Veganuary

It's always so great to see a business provide a vegan breakfast! I had the tofu Ranchero. Added plus: fresh squeezed OJ ❤ Staff are friendly and helpful.

Dedicated Vegan options - Edit
They have built out a small, but great vegan portion of their menu. They waitress was very familiar with vegan options, including the butter for the toast (Smart Balance). We had Grandmas Delight skillet, Mexi Skillet with soyrizo and mexi burrito with soyrizo. Everything was great, reminded me of going out to breakfast before we went vegan.

Amazing vegan breakfast - Edit
This is my favorite place for vegan breakfast (better than the multiple places I have been to all over the country, including Chicago, Palm Springs etc). The Vegan Ranchero Breakfast is outstanding (my wife's favorite) but I usually get the Vegan Skillet and add jalapenos and avacado. The way they scramble the tofu makes it really appealing - much better than the cubed tofu served at many restaurants. Worth the trip!

Cons: Out of the way location for most - but worth it

Favorite Part of Coming Back Home to La Porte! - Edit
Truly just so lovely! Grandma’s has a small town diner vibe and very friendly servers. This is by far the best breakfast place in La Porte and definitely competes with Chicago breakfast places I’ve tried. The Mexi-style vegan burrito is my favorite. Add some tomato and avocado, and it’s absolutely perfect!

Cons: Too far away for me to dine here frequently, literally nothing else
