Ramen was ok

The veggie ramen was ok. The broth and noodles were good but I wasn’t a fan of the chosen vegetables and I wish it had more flavors. It’s not marked vegan but the lovely lady said there was no egg nor fish sauce in it.

Pros: Big portion, Friendly staff

Ramen and More

They clearly know what vegan is here. Sweet lady brought me a complimentary platter of pickled appetizers, which were unique and tasted phenomenal. The ramen was pretty good. Wasn't a huge fan of the noodles, but the broth was good and it came with tons of veggies. I think my biggest mistake was ordering a hot bowl of soup on a really hot day.

Pros: Nice staff

Cons: Didn't love the noodles

Very good experience

Veggie menu is great and mostly vegan. I tried the veggie wontons, kompkyo sushi, cucumber sushi (although I had actually ordered the cucumber salad) and the silk tofu spicy soup! All was amazing. However they forgot my dad’s Udon soup completely and then tried to bring it over after we had all finished and asked for the bill!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Very nice looking restaurant , Great area

Cons: Some lost and misheard orders

Nice server and food:)

The server knew just what we wanted when we asked if they had vegan options, and there were plenty of them!

Pros: Many vegan options , Nice environment

Cons: Slightly expensive for a young student

Ask for the separate veg menu

In an area without many options, it was nice to find GK. We had shittake sushi, vegetable tempura and udon soup with tofu. I added some soy sauce & wasabi to the soup that I had leftover from the sushi. Maybe some chili paste would make it a bit more flavorful as well but it was pretty good without. There are two kinds of udon and one ramen dish on the regular menu that are vegan but are not listed on the veg menu.

Pros: Friendly waitress , Lots of options

Delicious Ramen (vegan upon request)

The ramen was phenomenal! So many flavors, so many vegetables. I think the vegetarian ramen is vegan by default, but order it vegan just to be sure. On top of that – organic ingredients. A must try!

Pros: Lots of vegan options (sushi included), Most items can be made vegan, Good prices

Vegan gem near Fisherman's Wharf!

As vegans, finding a place to eat amongst the throng of seafood restaurants was daunting until we happened upon Grandeho Kamekyo! The owner, Grace, was thrilled when she found out we are vegan. She and her staff were so gracious and helpful. First off, once they knew we were vegan, they exchanged our normal menu with their vegan one. Secondly, Grace shared with us about being a 3rd generation vegan. Her mother and grandmother lived to 99 and 102 respectively! The restaurant was filled with amazing orchids and other fresh flowers from the market. Grace grows the orchids she displays in the restaurant. Everything they serve is organic and wow were the vegetables fresh and amazing! We loved our time at GK and hopefully you will as well!

Pros: 100% Organic, Full vegan/vegetarian menu, Accommodating
