So-so overall

The service was fast for a Tuesday during a typical breakfast hour. I had the vegan breakfast burrito. I was very disappointed that there was no hot decaf coffee on a freezing, February morning around 830am. It would have been more helpful for the few vegan items were put together on the board rather than having to surgery the entire wall to figure out what I can eat.

Low-end NYC bagels

NYC bagels are great when they are warm and fresh. For this reason, large bagel shops--where there is plenty of turnovers and usually some fresh bagels on hand--are better than small shops like this one. When I came today, they were out of fresh bagels, so I had one that was a few hours old with a vegan tofu shmear that was merely okay. They had no plant milks for coffee, no restrooms, no places to sit inside (though there were a few outdoor tables). They did offer a vegan burrito, but it did not look like they had a separate cooking space for it, so cross-contamination would be likely.

On the plus side, there are not that many places to get vegan food in the immediate neighborhood, so the few vegan items were welcome, and NYC bagels--even cold ones--are better than non-NYC bagels. But there are better places in town.
