Yummie vegan Japanese pancake pastries - Edit
Located conveniently in the Himeji station.
Read moreThey only have 2 options (white and red bean ones). Both are delicious!
If you need a snack for on the Shinkansen, this is the one I recommend.
Friendly staff and cheap.

These are really good! Everything is in Japanese but there are only 2 options, red or white, and they're both vegan. I recommend you get several and keep some for breakfast! It's inside the gate. We went in with our cards and then it wouldn't let us back out again but the JR staff sorted it out and we didn't have to pay.

Nice bean paste pancakes - Edit
Mildly sweet and chewy pancakes, would recommend. The bean flavor was noticeable but not intense. We didn't find ingredients listed at the store, but the website Google translate says bean paste, flour, starch syrup, expansion agent. Also super nice crew at the booth.

A delicious snack, warm and filling, perfect to take along on your Himeji (or further out) adventures! It resembles a stuffed pancake, filled with either white bean paste or red bean paste. We got one of each, and they were perfect!

A local snack to try - Edit
We grabbed one Azuki (Red) bean "An" and Common (white) bean "An" to try them before boarding our train to Tokyo. They were served quickly hot and had a nice flavour that wasn't overly strong or sweet.

Inexpensive & delicious! One of many locations across Japan. Definitely more of a chewy soft texture (not crispy). I prefer the red bean over the white. This location was very easy to find since it’s a small train station.

Nice quick vegan dessert - Edit
For a quick vegan dessert a great possibility. Is behind the ticket gates, with our pasmo card we went inside, exiting the same exit did not cost anything. The pancakes (black or white beans) are delicious, not too sweet. Only take-away.
