Ik kom hier bij elk bezoek aan Durbuy. Heerlijke keuken, alles vegetarisch met vegan opties. Lekker gebak ook en ijs.

A little paradise in the middle of the forest - Edit
Me and my 9 colleagues went there in the middle of a staff retreat and it was a great experience. The place is amazing. The food was lovely. And the staff was really helpful with every different need (vegan, gluten free, etc.).

Good vegan food in a surprising way! A castle with a Hare Krishna community. You can visit the grounds, a museum and a shop. Chanting in the castle on a friday evening. Lovely!

Good food for a good mood - Edit
They serve vegan en vegetarian food. There was soup, rice, vegetables and samosas. They also have (vegan) desserts and good coffee. All very tasty. Very friendly staff. If you take the tour, you get a 10% discount in the restaurant. There is also a shop where you can buy the basic vegan stuff.

Nice find at the Ardennen - Edit
We had the thali and the fries. Good basic food, not the kind of rich flavours I'm used to get when ordering Indian food elsewhere.

Hidden gem near Durbuy - Edit
A comfortable restaurant with a view on the lovely surroundings with lots of nature and a beautiful forest walk. Delicious options available at the restaurant: the thali (daily changing plate filled with rice, curry with lots of vegetables, a small salad, soup and pakora with mango chutney) and samosas are amazing! The staff is very friendly.
Read moreThere are a few vegan dessert options, there’s (barista) soy milk available and many other tasty drinks, like whole earth lemonade and even alcohol free beer.
There’s also a bakery with vegan bread available and a nice gift shop.
Pros: Fair prices, Daily changing thali, Spacious

Beautiful location! - Edit
For €34 my boyfriend and me had a really nice Indian lunch, coffee with oat milk and a soft drink. It was self service and we sat outside on the terrace. The location was really pretty, next to the castle. After the lunch we had a walk in the forrest. Would really reccomend if you are in the Ardennen!

Verademing - Edit
In de Ardennen is het aanbod schaars dus was het een verademing om hier een lekkere en voedzame maaltijd te kunnen eten. Het is misschien niet de gezelligste plaats om te eten maar het is een cafetaria.

Good lunch at Hare Krishna - Edit
After a visit to the castle we explored the bakery and store. The vegan bread is labeled and the store has quite a variety of organic products (no fresh vegetables).
Read moreThe restaurant has a daily changing day dish which was diverse and flavorful with a lentil soup, salad, ball with chutney, papadum and veggie stew with rice. Service is really fast.
They even had a vegan, sugar free chocolate cake.
One of the only good options in the area.
Pros: Outdoor sitting area
Cons: Covid: staff does not seem to wear masks correctly

Great restaurant next to a beautiful castle - Edit
After visiting the Radhadesh Castle we went to Govinda's for lunch. There was a daily menu which consisted of a lentil soup, salad, rice, papadum, some kind of curry, and a fried ball with spinach and cheese. Although the restaurant is fully vegetarian and mostly vegan, they do use milk from their own cows (which are very well cared for). Even though I'm a vegan, I still tried the fried cheesy ball and it was delicious like everything else. They also serve some basic dishes such as fries and lasagna. I would definitely recommend eating here. Visiting the castle was very interesting as well. It was beautiful and we learned a lot!

Best Restaurant in Belgium - its a Castle! - Edit
One of the best restaurants in Belgium 🇧🇪. The food is so good! Stayed over at the Radhadesh retreat centre and ate at Govindas for every meal. The staff are super friendly. Food is really tasty too. Nice and spacious. And lots of lighting. Seating outside too during the hot weather. Highly recommended this place. Lots of vegan and gf options too.

Best Vegetarian and Vegan food in the Ardennes! - Edit
Govinda's is a fantastic vegetarian restaurant offering vegan options located at Radhadesh in Petite Somme. The Thali ( plat du jour) is very tasty and filling with soup, rice , vegetarian dish , kofte , salad and chappati. All for 15 euros😋. There are also burgers, pizza and fries available as well as delicious vegan cakes. If you are visiting Durbury and your plant based you will find little choice. A trip to Govinda's is a MUST! Even if you aren't vegetarian, if you love Indian food, the Thali is amazing.

Only snacks for dinner - Edit
When I called at 5pm to see if we needed a reservation, I was told the daily menu was finished already. So no dinner on a warm Saturday night? Well, they had snacks. Like vegetarian pizza and veggie burgers. We went to check out the place anyway, but a veggie burger it was. Plenty of people (customers and staff) around, but no Indian food was made. Then the guests of the Hare Krishna retreat came in to get a simple Indian meal that was served for them only. Tasty veggie burger and good fries I must say, but not what you expect in a lovely place like this. Oh, and tasty iceacream (1 vegan option).

Great place to stay and eat - Edit
In a beautiful area and great place to stay for one or two nights in standard rooms. Don’t expect a big menu in the restaurant but enjoy the daily thali prepaired with love, as it would have been done at any other Hari Krishna restaurant in India, maybe only there with a bit more spices.

Hare Krishna temple serving food - Edit
It was nice to have vegetarian food close to Durbuy, in a lovely setting, but it would have been nice to know if it was vegan- the staff simply did not know if it contained dairy or not. The food was tasty enough, however there is only one option for the day, so if you can't eat it, there is nothing else. Good for vegetarians, not for vegans.

I used to live quite close to the restaurant, so I dined at Govinda's quite a few times. The food is always good, prices are moderate, and the ice cream is divine. There's not much for vegans, though.
