Affordable, healthy and tasty lunch - Edit
I went to Govinda's twice and both times I had a tasty and healthy lunch of the day menu including a starter, a drink and main dish. The owner is kind and the food was really cheap (I don't recall the exact price unfortunately). I think by default the menus are vegetarian but I never had any issues when asking for the vegan option.

Tasty and nicely priced lunches - Edit
While not much in terms of options (only one set menu per day, and no vegan pudding option) the place and environment are really cool and the food was smashing and well priced. Definitely one to check out if you’re about.

Good food in the historic part of town - Edit
I ate here once in 2010 and again in 2022. The food has gotten a lot better in the last decade! The set meal is a good deal, and comes with a juice drink or an infusion of some sort.. also included bowl of soup and main plate with 5 items. Set meal is 11.000 pesos as of May 2022. They are open for lunch only, and I would arrive no later than 1:00 p.m. It's right in the middle of the historic part of town, so easy access for the typical tourist.

Don’t miss the entrance - Edit
Look out for the person downstairs selling breads and cakes to identify the entrance. Yes, you can go by him to get to the upstairs restaurant. Food was good and sufficient quantity for us. We had the menu of the day which was worth the price. Desert was very small but we are not big desert lovers. Menu of the day came with juice, soup, main plate and the desert. See posted photos. We are definitely going to return.

Cheapest in town if you can find it - Edit
I've lived in Manizales for nearly a year now, and I only just found Govinda's - despite it's central location, there is no sign and it's upstairs.. look for the man in the Krishna robes at the bottom of the stairs.
Read moreFood is good, and a great deal - 6000 for juice, soup, main and dessert.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Needs a sign!

great vegan food - Edit
All veg restaurant and knows what vegano means. Able to alter their regular lunches to make vegan. Super cute inside, bright colors, very cheery. Friendly staff. Food is super cheap but healthy and simple. Exactly what I needed after a couple rough meals of eating only patacón and hogao. One of the best meals I had in non-touristy Colombia.
