Disappointing - Edit
Restaurant reopens at 5pm for dinner and we got there about 5:30pm and everything looked old like it was just leftovers. On their website it said on Wednesdays they only serve vegan food - this was not the case and there were just a few vegan options. I chose not to eat since it looked old - my bf said it was just ok.

Filling, Cheap and Delicious - Edit
This was one of the most filling dishes I have ever eaten. I got the large plate (€15 at the time of this review - April 2023) which gives you 5 items. I asked for an all vegan selection of food and the server started piling food onto the plate.
Read moreUnfortunately I have no idea what any of it was, apart from the shepherd's pie and two types of rice, but it was all delicious and each item tasted completely different from the rest.
It was incredibly filling, I struggled to eat the last 25% of it, and I eat a lot so I was very surprised! I definitely plan on eating here again in the future.
The cons is that everything is piled on top of each other on the plate, so if you have sensory issues and need your food to not touch other foods then you'd need to ask if you could get each portion on separate plates (I have this issue with some foods, but not curries so I wasn't effected by this, but others may be). It was very warm and stuffy, some fresh air would have been nice. I would have liked to have been told what each menu item was as I love discovering, and learning about, new foods. And, of course, I would prefer if the restaurant was fully vegan. But these cons are not enough to drop my rating from 5 stars.
Edit: I went back today to get some food to bring back on the train home. I got a large takeaway meal and it was amazing value at €9.95. they absolutely STUFFED the container. I reheated it when I got home and it was delicious. If you want great value for money then this is the place to go!

Excelent cheap vegan food - Edit
Cheap and really tasty food, love coming here every visit I make to Dublin. You combine one rice with one "sauce" and 8 "dishes", 5 of those vegans. They are simple, like potatoes and veggies but some of them very originals. You can pick a big dish (11€) and get all 5 vegan dishes, so after one visit youll end up eating the sane, but I still recommend it. Try the Ginger Beer and Samosa too, they are awesome.

Cons: Short "menu", If you care about that, not a "restaurant"

Govindas is a nice restaurant where you can choose between a small and large plate. To get sure that your dishes are vegan, tell that the staff at the order. Everything was fine and tasted really good.

There are plenty of vegan options and the portions are the perfect size. The price-performance ratio is also optimal. The food is delicious, filling and satisfying. The atmosphere is calm and pleasant, the staff friendly. There is also dessert. All in all, perfect.

"Small plate" of deliciousness - Edit
My friend and I had the small plate each and tried little bit of each vegan curries. There were tofu, chickpeas, potato and this creamy one im not sure what it was.. but it was amazing. Came with choice of white or brown rice. Small plate was plenty £14.90 for 2 people. We then had a dessert each of cheesecake and chocolate peanut (£6.03). Highly recommend. Doesn't taste oily.
