Good food here - Edit
I had lunch here one day in July 2019. There were three choices for the meal (mixed vegetable pie, millet pie or bean soup), and each came with salad, sauteed vegetables and brown or white rice. Also a pot of tea comes with the meal. I thought the food was good although not extraordinary. Dessert is not included in the meal, contrary to what others have written (but since the meal is only 6.50€, you could certainly splurge if you have a sweet tooth!). They had 4 desserts the day I went.

Cheap and tasty - Edit
Gosto Superior is a really good place in Braga, it's super cheap (~8€ for a plate and a dessert). The staff is really welcoming, one of them were able to speak french with us. They offer hot tea, it's a kind attention. Everything is not vegan so ask to be sure. The food is simple but very tasty, rice, vegetables, quiche etc. I will for sure coming back!

Darn good food - Edit
Simple vegetarian restaurant with one vegan options per meal. Cozy, yet maybe too compact for the amount of people who often go there. There's a good chance you may have to wait in order to get a seat.

Wonderfully vegan, farm fresh food - Edit
My wife and I went for supper last night. You are given three main course choices. Two were vegan, one had cheese. Desert was great, two choices. Waitress and cook were very personable. We had no trouble communicating in English.

Amazing vegetarian restaurant - Edit
My favourite restaurant in braga, very cosy and amazing food. Really cheap, free tea and homemade food, Large portions at 6€. Gets crowded but there is a quick service so you don’t have to wait long. There is 2 to 3 options at lunch and dinner but always with a vegan option, Friday’s and Saturday’s there is vegan francesinha! Pet friendly and take away! Lovely staff

Excelente opción en Braga - Edit
Es un local pequeño pero acogedor, decorado con buen gusto y tranquilo. Ofrecen 3 platos combinados diarios en tamaño grande y pequeño de comida casera muy rica. 2 platos grandes postre = 14€. Buena atención por el personal.

Great restaurante right in the center of the city - Edit
This is a restaurant with rotative dishes.
Read moreThe food is tasty and with small amount of grass. Usually the plates have rice (basmati or brown), vegetables and salad (all optional).
They don't use eggs on any dish, but use milk or cheese, but since the dishes are made there, they usually can prepare some of them vegan, you can ask for it.
The price is cheap and the deserts are great (some are vegan).
It is Highly recommended.
Pros: 3+ different dishes every day, Vegan options, Cheap but tasty
Cons: Small space, usually is full after 12:30 for lunch, Don't accept reservations.

2017 update - Not going there again. The guy who works there made very rude comments to me and a friend for no good reason...
Read moreI went there twice recently. I think it has a good and quiet atmosphere, both times the staff was friendly and the food was delicious and more that we could eat. I think they offer a good service to tourists since I saw some there, but I can't be totally sure about it.
The price without drink (the tea is free) is @ 5€ and with dessert @ 7€. I found the big downside is not having a menu. The waiter comes to your table, tells you what the 3 dishes for the day are, and you have to decide right there.
The restaurant was almost full the two times I went there, and seats probably 40 people.

Had 2 nights in Braga. Went to this lovely restaurant 1st night and back again on the 2nd. Choice of 3 mains (big or small plate) and 4 desserts. Food was lovely, atmosphere friendly, service great and very inexpensive (€13 for 2 small plate meals which was plenty big enough + 2 desserts. Thought they'd made mistake but no -

Amazing food - Edit
The food was amazing and remarkably inexpensive! Neat atmosphere in the restaurant too. Despite the food being great I was disappointed that the MAJORITY of the menu options were vegetarian rather than vegan -- there was only 1 vegan main on offer the night we were there and only 2 of the 6 desserts. Perhaps we were just there on a more vegetarian-oriented menu night, but I would love for them to explore alternatives to cheese and butter in future in order to offer more vegan options. Overall I would still highly recommend!

So delicious! - Edit
While staying in Braga, we stopped here two times. The staff was super friendly and told us what we could eat as a vegan. The first time we had sautéed tofu with zoodles, veggies and rice. The second time we had a seitan "beef" with no cheese, salad, rice and veggies. For desert, we had vegan apple pie & coconut flan. It's also a cute small restaurant. This place is absolutely delicious & I would definitely come here again next time I visit :)

Super friendly and delicious - Edit
This little vegetarian restaurant does not have menu. It is a very nice small place with cool music and at a good location that is very easy to find (can definitely not be said for other veggie restaurants in Braga). It raised some eyebrows when I asked for a vegan option but the staff was super friendly and helpful and in no time they cooked some delicious fried eggplant in tomato sauce, sautéed broccoli and mushrooms, brown rice and small salad for me. Oh, and they have vegan Apple pie :) You will also be served tea immediately upon arrival. They place was quite busy when I was there and the others all seemed locals which is always a good sign. Okay the English of the owners wasn't quite that good, but hey, we got by pretty well. Would definitely come here again.

Small, friendly restaurant - Edit
This small but friendly restaurant near the center of Braga came in handy for me and my wife to have a satisfying vegan meal in the North of Portugal.
Read moreAs stated by other reviewers, as soon as you sit at the table you are offered a teapot with an infusion. The waiter then explains you the three different dishes for the day. We asked which dishes were vegan and the waiter was able to recommend two dishes (by adapting the ingredients of one of them).
The portions were very satisfying and included a nice variety of side foods such as salad, vegetables, and whole rice as well as the "main course" itself.
It's a pity that the restaurant is a bit small and can crowded during lunch hours, but we were very satisfied with the tasty food! It's a good place to go if you're in a hurry and don't really intend to linger, though.
Pros: Tasty food, Good portions, Quick service
Cons: Small restaurant, Can be a bit busy during lunch

Gosto Superior - Edit
This is really a wonderful place. The staff is very welcoming, they bring you a large pot of tea before you order (you can order other drinks if you want), which I thought was a nice gesture. The location is good, on a quiet square in the city centre, and it's nicely furnished. They have 3 dishes to choose from every day. I ate there two days in a row, and the menu was different the 2nd day. You get a huge plate of food, which also contains salads, hot vegetables and rice or couscous. It was really quite cheap, very good value! The place is running well, most other customers were locals, which is also a good sign. I really love this place, I would most definitely recommend it.
