Not for vegans! - Edit
No more vegan options (no pizza)! I went and the waitress told me essentially everything is cooked together and nothing is vegan. They have a few things (potato dumplings, soups, etc) that are vegetarian but include dairy. I enjoyed a cold coke, while my sister ate a sausage and potatoes (potatoes might be vegan, they don’t look to milky).

Traditional Slovenian Cuisine - Edit
The restaurant nowadays only offers traditional Slovenian meals and no pizza. The only vegan things to eat are the side dishes, like grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes with onions or potatoes with chard (very good). Two sides are enough to be fulfilling, especially when you order the mushroom soup as a starter. The mushroom soup is served with a Tablespoon of cream and can easily be veganised. I would totally recommend having the mushroom soup, because it was the best item they had on the menu! (Even my meat eating boyfriend said that and we went there two times)

Couldn't see pizza in the winter. - Edit
Visited in December, the menu was traditional dishes with quite a few vegetarian options. No vegan options when we visited. Very friendly service in English, tasty, traditional feeling food.

There were 3 pizzas to choose from here, clearly labelled on the menu and 1 vegan dessert. Personally the pizza I chose wasn’t for me. Quite greasy but not bad.

Amazing vegan pizza + nice terrace - Edit
The pizzas were all thin, crispy with a nice crust. There are quite a few vegan options where you can replace the normal cheese with vegan cheese. I had the truffle pizza with vegan cheese and it was one of the best pizzas I’ve had (both vegan and non vegan). The terrace was nice to sit at in summer. The only downside were some slightly incessant crickets chirping from the plants in the wall.

Best vegan cheese I have ever had - Edit
Plant based food while travelling Europe has been pretty bleak, so when this place popped up with vegan cheese I definitely jumped at the opportunity. I went with just a vegan margarita pizza and it was arguably the best restaurant pizza I have ever had. The cheese was incredible. Definitely my saving grace in a time when I was living off fries only.

The pizzeria upstairs has delicious pizza in a nice terrace surrounded by plants and in some spots you even get castle views.
Read moreThey have three different pizzas that can easily turn vegan by swapping the cheese for vegan cheese which is great!
They also had a vegan chocolate dessert that was really yummy. The waitress was super friendly and caring.

Pizza with optional vegan cheese - Edit
Nice terrace with outdoor seeting. You could only select optional vegan cheese for a subset of pizzas, which is odd. Also the waitress couldn't explain why. The pizza dough was really good, but the topping we're of medium quality.
