Indian vegetarian restaurant with vegan options, specialising in bhaji and pav. Items with dairy or eggs are clearly labelled. Food is made fresh. Open Mon-Tue 11:30am-1:30am, Thu-Sun 11:30am-1:30am.
This is not your usual Naan and Dahl Indian restaurant. It specialises in street food you will find find hard to get anywhere but this restaurant and it’s three siblings in other parts of Melbourne. Though it is hot for many tastes even so the flavour cuts through amazingly. The menu in the window looks impossible to navigate but the table menus have photographs and the proprietor loves to explain the dishes and make recommendations. Some dishes have cheese or egg but everything can be made vegan and the vast majority are vegan already. The welcoming and warm family atmosphere just tops it off. This is a unique experience that every vegan really must try. Dishes are not small so two or three $10 dishes could be enough for two people. Just remember to tell them if you don’t like hot.
I thought it would be Indian but it's Indo Chinese. No curry & rice or naan. Just balls, noodles & weird items with or in bread. No clearly marked vegan options on the menu. Waiter had no idea what was vegan and chef tried to help but the menu was huge and it was all very confusing. I told them I will come back and eat there when they are clear what is vegan and it is marked on the menu.
They need to cut the menu right down and take off gross items like a sandwich that is cheese, nuttella, pineapple jam and chocolate. There are some really random items! Also Samosa in a bread roll?! Just why?

I didn’t like it that much - Edit
I was the only one on the shop and I took 20 min to get the food. It was really spicy and I was expecting more for the value.
