Great food, horrendous service - Edit
The food was amazing (5 stars) - but if you want to enjoy it, get it to-go! For vegans, you get to pick 3 of the 7 vegan dishes that are served on a platter with Ethiopian bread. My partner and I each ordered this, choosing 6 of the vegan dishes to share that they presented on one large sharing platter which was great! As for the service… after being seated, it was at least 5 minutes before anyone came over to take our drink and app order. The spicy appetizers came out eventually, but we were never given water. After a few minutes of waiting, I had to ask for the water. Eventually, the waitress brought two small cups of water. I also inquired about my bar drink that never came - the manager eventually brought it over after I asked about it. Then, we got the entree, but had already drank most of our water and no one came back to check on us. The food was spicy and not refilling our tiny water cups was not cool. Meanwhile, we could see our waitress and the manager hanging out at the bar, chatting and eating. After we were done with our meal, the waitress didn’t notice. It was another almost 10 minutes before she came back and we asked for the check. She never asked how the food was or anything. We observed her neglecting her couple other tables too, as the manager watched. Ugh, amazing food but just terrible service. Do better.

Delicious and dependable - Edit
A delicious, dependable go-to. Clearly labeled vegan options, so tasty, and a great location to bring visitors to. Owner and staff are warm, generous, accommodating. Usually pretty open during less busy days/hours, but good to make reservations weekend evenings.

Delicious - Edit
The food is delicious, I’m giving 3 stars and not 4 because my partner has some gastrointestinal upset the day after (I don’t- so if you have a sensitive stomach this place may not be for you). We had a vegan app and the vegan entrees, the food is amazingly flavorful and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you have a strong stomach for spices, this is a great place to go to!

delicious fresh Ethiopian vegan food - Edit
basically the title ☺️ it’s so nice being able to share a vegan entree without any modifications or processed mock meats… just vegetables prepared impeccably well 👏 i appreciate that the server asked if we wanted our meals to come on a shareable plate — it made our date more special ☺️

Innovative and delicious - Edit
Some of the best Ethiopian cooking I've had, and some of the most innovative in its presentation. Plenty of vegan options. Also check out their next-door business, Gojo, a coffee joint that serves breakfast and lunch and has a nice outdoor deck. Gojo's vegan panini is swell.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Edit
I’m giving 3 stars for the restaurant having great service, a great space, generous portions, and easily navigable menu with many vegan options. Personally however I’d rate it 2 stars because the food had a horseradish-like flavor (possibly senafich?) in all 3 dishes I tried and horseradish is one of my least favorite flavors ever. I really wanted to love this place but the food is just not seasoned to my preferences.

Everything is fantastic, ton of vegan options, super nice staff, cool atmosphere, and pretty affordable for the amount and quality of food. Literally zero downsides.

Delicious Ethiopian Food! - Edit
Went here for the first time last night and loved it! Everything was fresh and very well seasoned. There is a whole vegan section of the menu that comes with vegan sides. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous. Will definitely be coming back!

Delicious Ethopian Food - Edit
Cozy restaurant with a great and friendly staff! Not only was this our first visit but also our first time trying Ethiopian food and we'll definitely be back! There is a Vegan menu with 6 options and you can get 3 entrees and 2 sides for $12. We each got the special so it allowed us to sample the entire Vegan menu. Along with the 4 sides, which were also vegan but not listed Vegan menu, we were concerned it was going to be way too much food but the portion sizes were perfect! We each had our own favorites so we'll know exactly what to get the next time. Save some room for the Apple sambusa!

delicious - Edit
Durham has been lacking an Ethiopian restaurant, and Goorsha definitely didn't disappoint as they filled that void. Staff and owners are friendly and welcoming, and are familiar with what is vegan. The menu clearly separates out all 6 vegan entree options. We enjoyed a platter with all 6 vegan options with delicious injera.

Great Ethiopian food - Edit
The food here is great. I had the yemisir kik (lentils), metin shiro (chickpeas) and fosolia (green beans) with sides of timatim fitfit (injira salad) and beat root salad. Everything was delicious. Injira with 3 entrees and 2 sides for $12 is a great deal. And the staff is really friendly.
