Cauliflower dish was yum - Edit
There were only two vegan options but they both looked yum. I went with the cauliflower which was tasty and surprisingly filling

Roast Cauli - Edit
Although not many vegan options, the roasted cauliflower was so good. Anything with roast cauli, chickpeas and dukkah will win me over for sure. Nice location too by the river.

fuel stop on the art trail - Edit
Got hungry visiting the galleries so wandered down to the sunny deck next to the river. Wasn’t sure about my options but was pleasantly surprised. On the winter menu, vegan options are roasted cauliflower as a “light meal” and BBQ pumpkin as a main. I ordered the cauliflower in a pinch and was pretty delighted when it landed on my table. A quarter cauli, curried chickpeas, spinach leaves, cherry tomatoes, parsnip chips and coconut raita. A satisfying combination of varied textures and fresh flavours! I expected only a mouthful as these places can be expensive but was a satisfying lunch and reasonable value for $16. Convenient if you’re in the precinct at lunch time, beautiful spot to sit by the river, and friendly, efficient young staff.

Always a nice place for lunch and now a couple of vegan options - Edit
The GOMA bistro is a lovely place for lunch on the riverside and the restaurant supports the museum. Good to see now a couple of vegan options on the menu. Staff are always friendly. I had the Banh Mi with daikon and Shitake mushroom cake (interesting alternative to tofu). It was fresh and tasty but could have had a bit more chilli and herbs (just my personal taste)
