Delicious, super vegan-friendly Thai food - Edit
The food was surprisingly good, and the options were extensive. This place should be busier. The location is in an unassuming shopping strip but decently nice inside. Prices were maybe a little high for the area and there is that vegan upcharge but portions were good for the price.

Excellent lunch - Edit
We stopped here for lunch and the lunch specials we had were excellent (red curry, spicy ginger noodles). They are very aware of what vegan means, and do charge a surcharge ($1) because they use separate pans and ingredients which is a bit more work. They have an option of brown rice, and an option of extra veggies instead of tofu. The portions were substantial, the service excellent, and the restaurant attractive. It was a really nice experience.

Most Vegan Friendly Thai on the West Side - Edit
This restaurant is walking distance from my house and I’m glad it’s in the neighborhood. I’m there mostly for lunch specials which are a good value and run until 3:30, 7 days a week. The food is fresh and tasty and they have brown rice. The staff are very friendly.
Read moreThere is an extra charge when you ask for vegan, which I find unusual. It’s the only “vegan surcharge” I’ve encountered anywhere. I think it’s $1 or $1.50 to veganize your dish.
Portion sizes have also gotten smaller since they first opened. I’ve always noticed successful restaurants lean generous, and it’s hard to imagine that just a little extra food would hurt their profit margin. Repeat business is key.
Having said that, I do like this restaurant and will continue giving it my business. I’m thankful for any vegan friendly business in Tacoma.
