Odd place - Edit
Lots of vegan options. Taste of food was ok. They charge $1.75 per person to eat there. $2.80 for a small soda that you get yourself. You write your own order on a ticket then pay before you get your food. They’ve taken as many steps as possible not to serve you. Lunch portions only available Tu-Fri

5-star for vegan/vegetarian options, but they also serve meat, so Not allowed to - Edit
Sooooo many amazing vegan / vegetarian options clearly marked throughout the extensive menu. Authentic Chinese. Served family style which means good-sizes portions served on a platter. Each “entree” would serve 2Would def return . Happy Cow won’t allow a 5-star review because they do also serve meat.

Tons of vegan/vegetarian options. crispy tofu and crispy eggplant 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 - Edit
Lots of tofu, eggplant, and veggie-only dishes. Lots of options and customization available. Weirdly the guy who posted a 1-Star review on here said they didn’t remove the rice from his fried rice, but that’s pretty much the only way to get fried rice in any Chinese place. Ignore that review, just don’t order the fried rice if you are a vegan. Otherwise, lots of great vegan and vegetarian options.

Eggs in the order - Edit
I would advise against ordering at this restaurant. And if you do, it is a good idea to triple-check that the order is vegan.
Read moreI ordered fried tofu with vegetables and fried rice, and there were eggs in the rice! The menu said nothing about the eggs. Furthermore, I specified that the order must be vegan and specifically said "no eggs" in the note. However, the restaurant ignored the note.
Pros: food is excellent if the order is respected
Cons: menu is deceiving

SUPER NOMZ!!! - Edit
The best Chinese I have ever had on the road and I've been all over the 48. This is the real deal they have an Authentic menu and an Americanized one. Try them both. I really loved their take on Hunan Tofu. Just tell them you're vegan when you order and you're good to go.

Great, no-frills Chinese food - Edit
I liked this spot. It's super no-frills - just order at the counter, get a number, and pick a table. They bring out your food to you, but everything else is serve yourself, like drinks, utensils, and take-out containers.
Read moreThey have a huuuuuuge menu, so make sure to step aside while you peruse the offerings so that you don't block the regulars from the counter. They have lots of yummy-sounding veggie options. I had a hard time choosing, but I finally settled on the tofu with king oyster mushrooms. The tofu had really nice texture, and the mushrooms were amazing. The portion was generous, giving me enough for the next day's meal as well.
I'll definitely come back to try their other dishes next time I'm in the area.
Pros: Lots of veggie options, Good portions

Golden Harbor Review - Edit
Golden Harbor is fantastic. The menu is huge and the food is wonderful. They have a lot of meat dishes but vegetarian items are clearly labelled and there is a lot of variety. If you eat eggs the egg tofu dishes are fantastic. This is one of my favorite restaurants anywhere.
