Understanding of lactose free - Edit
The person we spoke with at Gokul understood when I asked for no lactose/dairy products and adapted my thali accordingly. The food wasn't my favorite though, it was pretty oily, but it was nice to know for certain that there were no dairy products in the meal.

Great food for a great price, a bit hidden - Edit
You have to walk into a small side street to find this restaurant. They have a big vegetarian/vegan menu, offering indian food as well as chinese and some smaller continental items as well. The owner is very friendly and the food we tasted was delicious ✨️

Cons: 'no-frills' eatery and no ambience in this place, Service levels not that great, Non-English speaking advise use google translate
