Wholesome and cheap food! Not the best pies ever, but for the price you can’t complain. Really great spot for a quick bit of hearty food

Traditional pie and mash for vegans. The soya pie is delicious and the gravy and liquor is vegan too! Great atmosphere too since 1890.

Excellent pies - Edit
So fantastic to have traditional pie and mash with a vegan option. The soya pie is similar to a mince and onion pie, the mash is pure potato, and the gravy and liquor are both vegan. Mushy peas and beans were excellent too!

A nice surprise - Edit
I felt so lucky to find this place! Traditional pie with soya meat, and vegan gravy or parsley liquor as a side (by default, also for omnis). The meal was very satisfying. And on top of that, it was incredibly cheap. Definitively a place to go!

Visited to try the traditional London pie, mash & liquor and loved it! Great canteen style place with a huge queue out the door. I love that even these old fashioned institutions are catering to vegans now!

Traditional and vegan - Edit
Goddards is perfect if you're fancying a classic pie and mash but need it to be vegan. They serve pies with meat as well, and would be a great place to go if you're with a group of people who eat meat and want to keep everybody happy and well fed. And as a bonus, they're very reasonably priced for a hot meal in Greenwich Market (£4.60 for the vegan pie and mash as of November 2021).

5* proper pie and mash - Edit
Traditional East end pie and mash but with Vegan options as well! Love me a bit of pie and mash, this is what you expect, lovely inside, vinegar on the tables, good price for a filling meal (I had 2 pie, 1 mash). You can have gravy if you don't fancy liqour (but why would you?). Will definitely visit whenever I'm back in Greenwich. Thanks for allowing me to have the food of my childhood whilst being vegan.

Vegan pie - Edit
I have to admit that I hadn't realised that this family business has vegan pies on offer too or I would have visited before. I had the veggie soya mince and onion pie with mash and liquor. The pie was really nice. The mash and liquor was okay. Overall good value for money.

Vegan pie, mash, and dessert - Edit
There are only two veg pies on the menu (and only one is vegan), but it was quite all right. Both of the desserts are vegan, and so is the mash and liquor.

Great Surprise - Edit
We are looking for somewhere to eat where we could sit down and saw this place adversing vegan pie and mash on a sign outside. Went in to ask to check and had a lovely pie and mash. There was no plant based milk for tea and coffee though and I didn't ask if any of the desserts were vegan.
