Best in Pasto - Edit
They have changed location since I was here 2 years, it has only gotten better. Efficiently run business, many rooms to choose from for seating, food is excellent. The full almuerzo is 12,000 COP, can't ask for a better deal.

Great meal today - Edit
I went here three times for lunch in July 2024. The meal of the day currently costs 12,000 pesos (you can also choose to have the smaller meal of the day for a little bit less). Today's meal had a glass of juice, a bowl of soup, and the main plate with four different items (see photo). I thought everything was very very good, flavorful and nutritious. You can order dessert for an additional 3,000 pesos but I don't really recommend it (the waiter brought me the wrong dessert twice in a row and I finally gave up). Good news: they are open 7 days a week for lunch with a meal of the day, and are usually open on holidays as well.

Disappointed - Edit
Good food but cold nothing exceptional.
Read moreThe prices annouced when we arrived suddenly changed when we had to pay. We told us the prices changed since the new year but have not been updated. Had to insist to get the prices annouced when we arrived.
I also bought «vegan soya cheese» around 3$ which happened to be tofu.
Pros: Affordable food
Cons: price change during paiment, tofu sold as vegan cheese, cold food

Comida deliciosa y saludable - Edit

Good place for dinner - Edit
We went for dinner to Gira El Sol. Unfortunatetly most of the items listed on the menu were not available. We got the menu del dia instead (was vegan), which was tasty. Would eat here again.

Terrific - Edit
The Menu del Día is a steal—you are spoiled for choice with a build-your-own meal from a healthy selection, the price is right (we paid just 8,000 each), and they use high-end ingredients (yellow potatoes, quinoa, guacamole, feijoa juice). The space is very cute and cozy, yet it’s spacious and you can choose your favorite nook to sit in. Only odd thing is despite being assured all the menu items were vegan (ie Cream of Spinach soup), the dessert “fresas“ (strawberries) came out with a big slice of cow cheese in it, so specify “vegan” when ordering.

They do dinner - I liked - Edit
I came here for dinner after I went to another veg restaurant that turned out to not be serving dinner so they recommended this one. I wouldn't have gone otherwise as no hours listed. I thought the food was quite good. A very wholesome soup (peas and veg) to begin and then a main of rice, yuca, salad, and some aubergine thing. I liked it. 6,000 pesos for that and according to the server it was all vegan. I had a desert which I didn't realise was extra and it was some delicious sweet thing with what seemed like cheese on top?!?! This was an extra 1,500 - I'd rather have not had it.

Lugar agradable - Edit

A feast!! - Edit
Was welcomed into this lovely establishment with a warm energetic hand shake. We were there for dinner and it was a set menu, starting with quinoa(?) soup, filled with vege. Then onto the main course of avocado/tomato salad, brown rice, vege stew, with a slice of seitan, all cooked beautifully. Also included a fresh juice. Cost about $8000 peso i think.
Read moreAlso on sale was packaged vegetarian sausages/meat balls/bacon etc, all made there.
Was so pleased with our meal, just wish we'd found it sooner.
NOTE: The resturant is not where google points to on the map, and when we tried to find it during the day we were disappointed as there are several sections of Calle 20A spread across the city. However, the address is correct, and later the taxi driver seemed to find it ok. It's between Carrera 27A and 28, a block or two north of the central police station (NE of Plaza De Narino).
I asked him for opening hours and he said he opens at 12 for lunch and 4pm for dinner until 8 or 9pm. I think he recommended to me to call before coming, i guess to ensure he was open, but at 8pm there was a couple of other groups there.
