Best Chippy. - Edit
We saw on social media that Gino's Fryer had a Vegan menu so we drove all the way from Falkirk to try it, We were not disappointed, I had my first ever Vegan Pizza Crunch & it was AMAZING!! My Fiancé had the Vegan Ranch Burger which he said was delicious 😋 The girls that work in the chippy are really lovely & do a grand job at getting the orders out in a decent time 👍🏻 #Veganuary #Veganuary

Great vegan chippy options - Edit
Was really spoiled for choice for vegan options at this fish and chip shop in Largs, all cooked in a seperate fryer. Just across street when you get off the train in Largs.

Proper vegan chippy experience - Edit
This was my first vegan chippy and I was pleasantly surprised. Loads of vegan options on a separate menu and cooked in a separate frier. The food was tasty and obviously decadent!

Wee gem of a chippy - Edit
Lots of vegan options here, not sure there could be anymore. I had a vegan sausage supper as that was my usual before I went vegan, it didn't disappoint. I wish I'd had room to try one of the many cakes on offer too.

Don’t miss out on a seaside tradition - Edit
Gino’s had a great vegan menu to choose from. It was busy today when we visited, I had a tofish and chips which was spot on – and came with free vegan tartare sauce and a pot of mushy peas. Bonus! I’m hoping to go back over the summer to try the plant based scampi. It was a beautiful sunny day in Largs today, if you’re vegan or plant based or vegetarian get yourself to Largs for a Gino’s – you don’t have to miss out on a traditional fish and chips on your next trip to the seaside; they’ve plenty of meat free options! They also have a regular menu for everyone else and seem to be one of the most popular chippies in town. It can be busy with a bit of a wait at peak times, but it is worth it.
Read morePros: Good menu, lots of options, Great prices – cheap as chips! (Pardon the pun!)
Cons: Can be slow (20+ mins) for takeaway at peak times

Vegan chippy options by the seaside - Edit
Seems to have a varied and lengthy vegan menu. Went for tofish and pizza crunch. Sadly the tofish was lacking any flavour of fish and felt greasy. The pizza crunch was fine.

Lovely food however saddened by customer relations - Edit
Always use this chippy and have done for a long time, tonight when I was in I was served by a young girl with blonde hair and sunglasses on her head who quite clearly wasn’t interested in being polite or helpful to any customers, the shop was busy however when customers were trying to ask a question or order she was very blunt and frankly rude. Such a shame as this is very off putting, several other customers commented on the attitude which caused an atmosphere in the shop and could potentially lead to loss of custom.

Pros: Food great , Great choice , Reasonable prices
Cons: Staff attitude

Worth the train journey to Largs. An amazing range of options, all very reasonably priced. There are a few desserts too. Just be prepared for a wait as they are very popular.

Not only because of the Vegan fish and chips, the vegan menu they have makes Gino's the most integrated vegan chippy I've ever seen. Vegan:

Great chippy - Edit
Extensive vegan menu with all the things you would expect, The owner makes a lot of the vegan food herself, and buys in what she can't make. She's really proud of her vegan menu, as she should be. Haggis fritters are the bomb.

Worth the trip - Edit
It was a bit of a trek to Largs but totally worth it for the only place to get a vegan pizza crunch. The staff were also really friendly and let us sample their vegan battered sausage when I asked about the difference between that and the veggie sausage supper. Unfortunately they didn't have any vegan fish for the fish and chips as they'd sold out. They also had some vegan cakes on sale. We had to wait about 20 minutes but fresh to order and given their service and options it's to be expected they'd be busy.

Cultured chippy - Edit
As a chippy it caters to vegans and gf people with seperate menus with well over a dozen options for vegans. You do need to order in advance as the vegan stuff is all frozen so can be a wait of half an hour or more but its nice to have a vegan chippy option in the area.

Amazing veg fish&chips! - Edit
This chippy would deserve special attention even if it was situated in a vegan-friendly place like Glasgow, but in Largs their offering is simply stellar: The vegan menu is a full page of small printed items and everything we had tasted amazing. (The standard vegan fish is the absolute best though.) Prices are really fair as well and portions are large.

Vegan Options! In Largs! - Edit
“Fish” and chips was great. Fish alternative was tofu based, wrapped in seaweed and breadcrumbs and fried. Very tasty. Just wonderful to have somewhere with multiple vegan options in Largs.
Read moreIn other chippies it’s hard to be confident that even the chips aren’t cooked in lard, or the same fryer as meat. No more!
