Tasty food and friendly staff - Edit
I had the rainbow sandwich. Was really tasty and they had gluten free bread which was great. Milk alternatives for the coffee too.

Delicious takeaway vegan sandwich - Edit
Very accommodating - they made me a delicious vegan pate and salad sandwich to takeaway and it was one of the best I've had. They also had vegan fruit cake and scones on offer. The lady serving was very helpful and asked questions to understand my needs, explaining she was a bit new to veganism, which I really appreciated. I didn't sit in (Gingers cafe right next door) but am sure they'd be as accommodating.

Loads of options - Edit
Gingers is a really sweet bakery and cafe with tonnes of vegan options, including brownies, milkshakes and 3 different types of milk. I had the full cooked breakfast which was good apart from I wasn’t keen on the texture of the tofu scramble. They also do milkshakes and hot chocolates with vegan cream and vegan marshmallows.

Cons: Door doesn’t swing shut automatically - draughty

Great for range of options - all clearly marked - Edit
Lovely cafe - all homemade. Very clear menu and staff very helpful. I'm vegetarian, dairy intolerant and gluten free and there were still plenty of things available for me on the menu. Very tasty

Great find - Edit
Excellent selection of marked vegan options in busy cafe attached to bakery.
Read moreThe other two options to find vegan food in the town were closed on Bank Holiday Monday. We popped in on the off chance and the bakery side had a number of takeaway options marked on their menu. The sit in cafe had more.
We went for beans on toast, which was homemade beans on sourdough toast, Herby mushrooms on toast and The Madras, a toasted sandwich with a spicy potato filling.
There were dessert options too, although they had run out of vegan ice cream that day. The brownie was very tasty and the freak hot chocolate went down very well.
Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Friendly staff, Desserts
