Out of This World Crazy Good PIZZZZA - Edit
Everything about this place is absolutely spot on!!
Read moreThe vibe, the staff, the music, the pizza.
I always feel so blessed being able to enjoy the tastes and flavours of Gigi's pizza. Being a Vegan and being blown away that this pizza tastes way better than any meaty, cheesy pizza I had in my previous carni life!!
Staff are so attentive and in control of the whole place. They all want to be there. There is always a line up to actually get a table. They don't take bookings, so you just have to be patient and line up!! Cos it is that damn good!!!!!!!!!
Pros: Amazing Tasty Vegan Pizza , Fun Vibe, Really good value
Cons: NOTHING

Amazing vegan pizzas - Edit
First time dining at Gigis pizzeria and after waiting 50 minutes for a table we ordered 4 pizzas which were all delicious ,we also ordered tiramisu which I found a bit disappointing it tasted like marsala not coffee. Overall it was worth the wait

Delicious - Edit
They have mailed the vegan pizza concept. Instead of using vegan cheese, they develop combinations of toppings that simply work so you don't even miss the cheese.

It can get busy at times, so a reservation might be a good idea.

I love that everything is vegan, you don’t have to worry about wine choice. We regularly go and love it. The desserts were great too.

Pretty good pizza! - Edit
I think this place is nice although slightly overrated. My pizza had pumpkin and vegan ricotta which was good but nothing special. My friend got a pizza with red cabbage on top however it was far too much red cabbage! Service was good although felt like they just wanted to get us in and out due to being so busy. Really short wait times considering how packed the place was though!

Great pizza! - Edit
Eaten here a few times. Pizza delicious! The calzone can be a bit oily, so I avoid ordering it. Staff attentive and efficient. Only downside is having to line up outside for a table - I’ve waited for up to 45mins in the cold to get a seat. Try to go when it first opens at 6pm, or when you think the 6 o’clock crowd will be finishing their meals!

Fantastic Food - Edit
Despite the fact the service was a bit disorganized (staff appeared uncertain just who was responsible for our table), the food itself more than made up for the neglect. We ordered the mashed potato starter (sort of like a deep fried tatter tot) and then simply asked the waiter what we should order. He didn’t disappoint and the highlights were the truffle oil & potato pizza, the pumpkin purée pizza, and the cauliflower pizza. Each was delicious - outstanding even and this, from a looooongtime vegan. We ended the meal with a Tiramisu which was rich, decadent, and caused the table to go silent! With drinks the bill for 5 of us came to $174 AUSD. Individual pizzas ranged from $22-$24 it seemed. If you’re in Sydney, you must try GiGis.

I got here at 6.01pm and was #18 in the queue. But I would have waited however long it took, the ricotta pizza I had was exceptional, ditto the cannoli. Can’t wait to go back.

Some of Sydney's best pizzas found here - Edit
Gigi's pizzas are to die for. If you haven't tried them yet, you have not lived. A personal favourite is the potato and truffle, but there are may other yummy options to choose from. Some pizzas use vegan versions of blue cheese, mozzarella or ricotta, but many don't, and are still delicious. Gigi's offers organic wines, and some pretty irresistable desserts - the tiramisu is a favourite. No bookings, so if you want to avoid the queue, and the noise, be there by 6pm, especialy on weekends. Monday to Wednesday best for noise and queue phobes.

Lives up to the hype - Edit
We were first in line on a Friday night having got there around 15 minutes early. It’s not a place I would eat at if you need to be anywhere in a rush although we were seated and fed incredibly quickly given how busy it was. I had a calzone which was on the specials board which had dairy free ricotta, fried eggplant, basil and the most delicious tomato sauce topped with grated dairy free cheese. It really was out of this world. You can tell a good pizza from the sauce and this was amazing!

Disappointed - Edit
Food was amazing but service was crap! I did not mind waiting the half an hour before sitting down, but waiting 40 mins for our food, when people who had arrived after us had received there’s, to then noticing that they had forgotten to put the order in to begin and then not even apologising when serving us our food or caring, just really upsetting. One of the waiters in particular was very rude. Was really disheartened, especially since I loved that place.

Amazing pizza, worth the wait - Edit
2 of us went here on a Monday night. Had to wait in a line on the street but not for too long and let me tell you, it was worth every minute. Reading the menu, every pizza sounded more delicious than the next. We ordered two pizzas to share and they were both amazing, can’t wait to go back and try more. I can also attest to the arancini balls, which were the first vegan ones I’ve tried and they are better than most non-vegan ones. It was a busy night so the wait staff took a bit longer than expected but this place is incredible and I’ll definately be going back

Loved this place! The huge line out the door and down the street is a testament to just how good this place is. The whole place is vegan with an extensive range of pizzas. All with delicious ingredients and fresh herbs. Vegan ricotta and feta, a must try! And dessert ... wow! The cannoli is to die for! First time having cannoli since going vegan, would definitely go back to Gigi's just for that! Definitely worth the wait in line :)

This is one of those places where I want to take non vegans and not inform them its all vegan and then after we eat drop the bombshell. This place will convert even the haters that vegan food can be better than the non vegan option. The food was fantastic. Tables fill up fast and there is a line out the door soon after. So get in quick guys!

good food + pressure to tip - Edit
Great calzone. Honestly great. Try it.
Read moreWhat's not so great is that this was the only place in Australia where the waitress used a ton of influence and showed us on the machine how to tip and then proceeded to stand and stare while we declined to tip on a $25 calzone where tax and tip is commonly known to be included. The waitress was targeting tourists and it was awkward. This place isn't worth avoiding over it but it should be know and this should be fixed.
