Always a pleasure - Edit
Every time we visit Sydney we make a point of it to drop by Gigi’s when we reunite with friends, super delicious and quick food at fair prices for what you’re given. Really makes me miss living in the inner west every time we come back here.

I only ordered here, didn’t make it there unfortunately. The variety and choices of vegan cheeses is incredible. The pizza has a very nice wood Ofen flavour and was just amazing. I also had the vegan tiramisu as desert it was also outstanding!

This was by far the best food we have had in Sydney and probably in the whole of Australia. They serve one of the best pizzas we have ever had and their tiramisu is to die for. You have got to try this place out!

Gigi's pizza is so good that my omni friend who had just returned from studying in Italy suggested it. We rocked up pretty late after a show and the staff were still super friendly and welcoming. We didn't feel rushed at all and really enjoyed our pizza.

Don’t miss the desserts - Edit
Great spot for indulging in vegan desserts.
Read moreDuring my visit, we were torn between the Chocolate Hazelnut Cream Cake and the Baked Tree Nut Ricotta Cheesecake topped with almond praline.
In the end, we tried both, and they were equally delightful. The Chocolate Hazelnut Cream Cake was rich and decadent, with a smooth, creamy texture that chocolate lovers will appreciate.
The Baked Tree Nut Ricotta Cheesecake was a pleasant surprise, with a light, creamy consistency and a delicious almond praline topping that added a nice crunch.
If you're in the mood for vegan desserts, Gigis offers some truly satisfying options that are worth trying

Amazing - Edit
Lived up to all the hype. Lovely experience. Had the olives with bread to start. It was surprisingly spicy but the bread was incredible. Next I had the 4 cheese pizza. It was delicious and creamy. Before becoming vegan I enjoyed this pizza topping and don't think you can get it anywhere else. Blue cheese flavour not at all strong. My non-vegan had one of the tomato based pizzas. He said it was one of the best pizzas he has had, even loving the hemp mozzarella. For dessert we shared a tiramisu and some cannoli. The cannoli were absolutely Devine. Also enjoyed an elderflower spritz.

Pizzalicious - Edit
The potato pizza here is pretty special, it's got thin slices of potato then small slightly squished roast kipfler potatoes, then loads of flavour from the other ingredients. It's all finished with a grind of salt, which sets the whole thing off nicely without being too salty. We got the rocket salad with it, they were a great combination as the rocket salad was really fresh and bright. I particularly enjoyed the hint of cinnamon and lemon zest, really tasty. For dessert we had almond ricotta cannoli, I don't think I've had cannoli since going vegan, and these were a lovely reintroduction!

Delicious pizza - Edit
I went with my omni friends and ordered the patate and capriccio pizza along with a focaccia with oregano. The focaccia was actually just a plain pizza with oregano, but we enjoyed the patate a lot. The capriccio lacked hemp cheese and was a bit soggy from overloaded toppings although the artichoke was excellent. The chilli oil is very tasty too!

Had better - Edit
We were looking forward to a great pizza but got disappointed with a pizza that was dry around the outside and soggy in the middle, also there seems to be a very liberal interpretation of the menu. The toppings you get and the toppings described on the menu are different. All in all we had better and I mean heaps better!

Brilliant - Edit
Wow. This place is great. Fantastic menu with lots on offer including a specials board. We loved how they are able to put pizzas on stands on the table to create more room and also on stands next to the table so you can order as much as you like while sitting at a table for two. We got carried away by the deliciousness of the menu and certainly ended up having some left over pizza to take away.

Very good pizza - Edit
Had a Salsiccia e Broccoli pizza and the Gnocchi. Found it very strange that the Salsiccia e Broccoli has "broccoli" in the name and "garlic & chilli sautéed broccoli" in the decription as well as what is clearly broccoli in the picture, but then was served with friarielli. When I asked if it was meant to have broccoli they said no, it is just a name and that it is actually meant to be friarielli. The pizza was still very nice, but it's always disspointing to not get what you expect/pay for. Aside from that, I can't really fault the pizza, the pizza base was one of the best I've ever had (vegan or not).
Read moreThe Gnocchi was good, but the sauce was very intense, there just wasn't enough else going on to tame the sauce, a bit more cheese could have balanced it out maybe. Shame they only have the one pasta dish, I would have preferred a pink sauce.
As for the restaurant; I found the lighting to be a bit too dim and the music a bit too loud.
I really wanted to love this place and had high expectations based on the reviews, but overall I wasn't blown away. The food was good, albeit a little pricey, I will come back to try another pizza next time I'm in town.
Pros: Excellent pizza
Cons: Dim lighting, Loud music, Expensive
