A great experience

Not just the food, buts hats and music. Tali plate was covered in plastic wrap so spotless, hand washing bowl brought to table before and after meal. Very helpful and attentive staff. And food was great - good variety of choice- 12 different dishes (we were vegetarian), 2 different drinks and 3 different breads, rice. Kept topping up everything we ate so plenty to eat

Pros: Choice , Quantity, Atmosphere

Would not do vegan

I was so looking forward to this place after reading the reviews. I was told that the Thali is how it come and i have to have all dishes and not decline any for not being vegan.
The waiter spoke perfect english so he understood what i asked for, so i left.
For a vegan, it will be a waste of food if you will not eat the dairy and ghee containing dishes.

Whilst you are in the area, bring dog biscuits or food for the many stray dogs in the area.

Also, many animal shelters would welcome tourists to visit. There are some amazing ones in Delhi.
Namaste.

Too much service 😅

This is apparently a chain restaurant, only Thali. Daily changing menu. It was a wild experience with a bunch of waiters who kept coming by, bringing little dishes, breads and rice. All you can eat. It's a good way to try different things but we didn't like all dishes. Too many waiters hanging around staring at us as we ate.

Pros: All you can eat, You get to try loads of things, Clean

Cons: Couldn't get anything vegan, no one understood, No peace to eat, A bit pricey compared to other places

Best Thali I Have Ever Had

I travel extensively, and have eaten at some amazing Indian restaurants globally. With its 5 class service, gorgeous decor and extraordinary food, Ghoomar's Vegan Thali plate is now my world's favorite place to go for this traditional Indian dish.

I spoke with the mild-mannered and kind owner, and he agreed that he would add a vegan thali plate to their offerings to make it easier for vegans to order here.

Many thali dishes are normally made with ghee internationally, and this restaurant uses ghee in half of their dishes, but the accidentally vegan dishes will blow your mind. Fresh, pungent, spicy, and mouth-watering tastes and smells that will excite all of your senses.

The food servers surpass the service you find at the finest restaurants in the world. You will be treated like a king or queen if you have the very fortunate opportunity of eating here.

They did a tremendous job on the decor, with traditional Indian accents at every angle, and they provide these traditional hats that will make you feel like local royalty.

Come here, tell them you are vegan, and let them do their magic. You will be in Indian food heaven.

Pros: The world"s best vegan thali plate

Cons: Wish they would replace the ghee

Sumptuous thali

This wasn't listed on Happy Cow when I came across it. They do a very decent vegetarian thali for just over 500 rupees. It is unlimited so you can eat as much as you like. The food is very good quality - breads particularly good and nice sabjis. Not all the dishes are vegan though they understand what I meant when I mentioned veganism and it would be easy to opt for only the vegan items and just have more of them as it is unlimited. It is quite expensive though quite good value for the quality of the restaurant. If you want a high end thali then this is the place to go. The staff are ultra friendly and attentive too. They were certainly keen to feed me. I'd highly recommend.

Pros: unlimited, friendly and attentive servers
