Punk Rock Vegan Holiday in Seattle

Everything I’d want in a vegan place - I felt right at home! The music - the super kind and attentive service! A total must visit for any alt vegans visiting the Seattle area!

Ordered the Vegan Chicken Casar Salad and Side Potato Salad (WHO Am I?!?). The Casar Salad was amazing and so satisfying- I ate it all. I didn’t mean to order the Potato Salad (oops I meant macaroni).

Enjoyed my meal after a walk from the light rail (SODO) and was refreshed by the Kombucha on tap! Would totally bring others and come back!

Only bummer is they didn’t have dessert but that’s okay!

Pros: Fully Vegan/Plant-Based, Punk Rock and Alt with Awesome Decor (PR Legends), Music Was On Point (The Adicts and Ramones)

Cons: No Desserts (Only Sweet Drinks | Cocktails), May Be a Journey to Get to (Pro/Con)

Oh man! I didn't even look for dessert because the bartender (the blue one) was so mean to me and refuses to talk to me after I asked if she was vegan and she said "yes and no" and I said it's a yes OR no question. 🤣🤣🤣 The old place had deep fried oreos with ice cream but the new kitchen has no deep fryer (like we're not allowed to die young or smth anymore.) But yea, ice cream. Everyone needs ice cream!

It’s okay - I found some delightful Gelato afterwards. Thanks so much for the recommendation! 🥰 It was very me! ❤️

Yeah, I'm hoping they start up events there and can keep the vibe alive maybe *ahem* hire more vegans to fill the space with more activism less *cough cough* slacktivism. 🤣

Vegan Punk Heaven

Georgetown Liquor Co. has some of the absolute best vegan food I have ever had. The nachos and happy hour street tacos are amazing, I mean that, AMAZING.

The restaurant is very much a punk dive bar, I love the vibe, they are always blasting out awesome music.

Great food, great service, great everything.

Awesome

This place is so cool! Punk rock all the way, including their rad vegan menu. I went to Happy Hour with a friend and very much enjoyed the vegan chicken street tacos and tried sparkling hop water for the first time. As a Sobriety Buddy (and the welfare of animals/ health/ our planet), I appreciated that much of the drink menu was non-alcoholic.

The location of this bar couldn't be better, on the far end of Seattle's historic Georgetown, it's the perfect place to get in out of the rain and grab a bite to eat after enjoying the Art Walk experience.

The service was a good as you seat yourself and order at the bar. Food came out fairly prompt and was delicious. I would love to come back and try some of the other menu items.

Incredible vegan brunch restaurant in the vibrant city of Seattle

I really loved the food here when I visited the US West coast in January 2020. Probably the best vegan egg benedict I ever had. Hard for me to compare it with the real egg benedict cause I don’t think I ever ate it. But it was delicious nonetheless

I went there in the afternoon with my ex. They were open from 11 am I believe. But this was three years ago. Maybe they changed hours since then

A must visit spot

This place is amazing!!! I've had the French dip, reuben, and BBQ roll and loved all of them. Service is friendly and efficient and everything is made in house. Great selection of drinks and deals as well. I LOVE the proud animal liberation/ veganism energy of this place - it is wonderful and makes me really happy.

Pros: Amazing vegan options , Friendly and efficient staff, Everything is made in house and is SO GOOD

Cons: Bit of a hike for some (but worth it!!!!!)

Vegan French Dip

So good, I would plan on a trip for Seattle just for this sandwich. It was incredibly good. My partner had a Blue Burger and potato salad which were excellent.

100% Recommend!

GLC was our favorite meal of our trip! The French Dip I ordered was perfection and my husband continually raved about his meal as he devoured it. Grungy and dark atmosphere and good beer on tap! Orders came out very quickly.

Punk bar with vegan food

With so many granola hippies in the animal rights movement it's refreshing to see a place that has some grit when showing off their politics. Doesn't hurt that it's a stellar watering hole and has decent eats as well. Don't worry, I often look like a recent MBA grad and the staff was still down to earth with me. The only complaint I had was the cauliflower wasn't as crispy as I would have liked.

Pros: Kick ass atmosphere , Above average food

Cons: Cauliflower wings are not as crispy as expected

Food was decent

Bar food is not my usual fare so I didn’t have high expectations, but my partner had pretty high hopes. We both liked what we ordered but we weren’t particularly impressed. I got the French dip and he got the blue burger. We also tried the potato salad (not a fan), hummus (decent but would have preferred it to come with veggies) and cauliflower wings (probably the best thing we tried). I thought the French dip was fine but a bit too salty to dip into the even saltier au jus.

Overall it was a good experience though and I’d come back if I was in the area and maybe try some other options.

Pros: Everything is vegan, Really tasty cauliflower wings, Staff is kind and helpful

Cons: Not convinced it’s better than Life on Mars, Could use more plant centered options , So far away

Great!

I love this place. It's out of the way for me but the food is great. The staff is nice and they play great music. In my experience almost all Seattle restaurants are in the range from god-awful to tolerable-but-not-worth-going-back, and this is one of only a couple that is actually great.

Delicious pub style vibe

The restaurant has a great grunge vibe, the staff is nice and easy going, and the food/drink selection is great. They have a medium sized menu with a fabulous drink list. We had the bbq pulled pork and a BLT. Both were delicious. We also had non-alc drink choices (athletic brewing company beer and CBD passion fruit seltzer. A fabulous place to stop if your craving a pub sandwich.

Pros: Sandwiches , Drink list , Ambiance

Cons: A bit expensive

Georgetown venue is 100% vegan

The pulled pork BBQ, made with soy curls, was delicious. It was not super sized, but rather just the right portion. It was wonderful to have so many choices.

Ordering is done at the bar.

Pros: 100% vegan , Delicious food, Great Georgetown neighborhood destination

Needs to be a Designated Landmark

This is the spot. The joint. The place you love. Sure do I wish remnants of old menus from Squid & Ink and Highline make a come back? Of course. Don’t be silly. But this institution is a refuge and an oasis. From the art on the walls, the drinks and food you can’t go wrong. The Blue burger haunts my dreams at night. My cravings throughout the day. Add the bacon. Trust me. Trust. Me.

Pros: Proud vegan decor , Menu keeps growing , Don’t for get their soups.

Outstanding!

Been wanting to come here for a while and I’m happy I did. I ordered the French dip and cauliflower wings. The wings were good but the French dip was special. It was so flavorful and delicious. This makes me want to come back soon to try other sandwiches as well as items on their happy hour/in house menu that aren’t shown on their website.

Great options, super yummy!

This was our first time at GLC, but it has been on our list forever! I was very impressed with their extensive cocktail menu and how many fun options they had for food (everything is vegan!). I also appreciated how much was made in house. Everything we ordered was delicious!! We are excited to come back!

Pros: All vegan, great vibe , Fun options for food and drink
