This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in London. We arrived when the place was completely empty and there was a table we wanted to sit in however we were asked to sit somewhere else as it was only allowed for ‘three people’ even though about 30 minutes later two people were allowed to sit down there.
They did not have the juice or milkshake that we asked for. Our order was stuffed up. The man who served us our meals was rude and had an agressive undertone. We asked if the meal we received was the correct meal and he insisted it was. We asked another waitress and she said no that was not the correct meal. The waitress had quick thinking and gave it to us ‘on the house’ as the man who served is ‘probably just woken up.’ Unfortunately this man appeared to be the manger by the way he interacted with the staff but certainly was disappointing in the way he treated the customers.
We then went to pay for our meals, the milkshake that they didn’t have was not taken off our bill. We were shocked they had added a 12.5% Discretionary Service Charge. Unfortunately I am not originally from the UK and thought we had to pay this extra amount but later learned by talking with some locals that you can refuse to pay this charge if you are not satisfied with the service (which we definitely were not). It ended up being a ridiculously expensive meal for two people.
Such a disappointing experience so much so this is the first time I am writing a review on google. Please save your time and money, there are plenty of other wonderful restaurants in London that are worth your time.
