2023 update: the best vegan ice cream in Venice now! In addition to the fruit sorbets (all fruit vegan), nota nera and dark chocolate they now make vegan pistachio and Olympia! This is a huge improvement and the Olympia is just divine! Be warned though, none of the cones/edible cups are vegan

The gelato I got here was sooooo delicious. They do samples so I was able to choose my favorite. They have several vegan options and I got the raspberry topped with chocolate cream flavor. It was sooo good, I have never had anything like it before. Even better, all their cones are vegan, even this sprinkle chocolate one. Amazing place! Nice staff. No seating inside. Fair prices. Don’t get the wafer they add to the gelatos, it’s not vegan, it has milk. The lady was so nice, she warned me since she knew I was vegan. #Veganuary

💭: I wasn’t a person fan of the cherry ice cream, it was really good and had a little cherry but personally not for me. Lewis enjoyed it though. The dark chocolate ice cream was very very nice (much better than one I had before). The cone itself was delicious with the crispy exterior. Definitely my favourite gelato spot yet!

📝: We ordered gelato at 11.30am yesterday and there was no queue. By the time it got to 13:00, the queue was all the way around the corner. Recommend going early. The girl was very clued up on veganism, she could tell me what was vegan and what had traces of milk.

Gelatoteca Suso is a high quality ice-cream place you'll find in Venice, especially if you're walking towards San Marco Square. How to recognize it? You will always find a bunch of people in line in front of it! 😂
They have sorbets and original flavors as well.
⚠️ P. S. Take the cup in summer, not the cone! It will melt at a high speed and you'll not be able to enjoy it fully.

The line is always long at Gelatoteca Suso, but the wait is sure worth it! There are many vegan options for gelato and sorbet as well as a vegan and gluten-free cone! The vegan dark chocolate is to die for. The strawberry sorbet is excellent as well. Staff are knowledgeable about what is and isn't vegan.

El sitio es muy turístico y está cerca de un puente perfecto para la típica foto. Colas largas pero van súper rápido, muy amables y la presentación muy buena. Yo pedí el noir(chocolate negro) con sorbete de fresa, todas las opciones veganas tenían pinta apetecible. Volvería siempre que vaya a esta bonita ciudad.

Don't be discouraged by a long cue outside, it moves very fast, I think we waited about 3 minutes even with about 15 people in front of us. Although be aware, This does also mean that the staff is very stressed and you have to order quickly and it's very cramped with customers inside the tiny shop (no covid safety distance, for sure).
A bit chaotic definitely, and not a great place if you want to be able to chat with the staff a bit / get recommendations etc.
We paid 10€ for 2 cones, both with 2 scoops.
