A Special Coffee House - Edit
Going downstairs was a lovely surprise. What a chill and quaint space. The vibes are on point here. We ordered a vegan breakfast and it was incredible. The only downside of Gecko is the price.

Gecko Coffeehouse - Edit
Every single thing I had here was amazing, especially the chocolate croissant and the plain croissant. I have to say, these were some of the best in town! The oat flat white was delicious as well. It’s so nice to be able to go to a fully vegan coffeehouse and not worry about cross-contamination. I really appreciate this place! (There is a massive amount of seating in the lower ground floor area.)

Meh... - Edit
I was looking forward to this but was disappointed.
Read moreAlthough the service was friendly, the coffee was terribly sour and the pain au chocolate was dry.
I raised it with the staff and the excuse was: we've changed suppliers and the pastries are no longer great.
For the coffee I heard: sorry but that hasn't been raised with us before, must have been a bad shot. Yeah, right...
The decor was nice and the staff seemed to have a lot of fun, judging by the noise.
Maybe I'm just too old 😂.
Someone in their 20s might have enjoyed the experience but for what it was, it was very expensive and I didn't enjoy it.
Pros: Decor, The fact that it's 100% plant-based.
Cons: Stale pastries, Sour coffee, Noisy staff

Relaxed place, nice look - Edit
I got a latte and a banana bread with Chocolate chips and gnome child got an iced matcha latte and a slice of carrot cake.
Read moreThe latte was strong and the banana bread just tasted like a very chocolaty cake to me. Both were very nice but I didn't get any taste other than chocolate from the bread.
I tried gnome child's carrot cake which was nicer but I couldn't handle how rich it was today apparently.
It was a good price and was relaxed for how busy it seemed.

Perfect iced matcha latte - Edit
I got an iced oat matcha latte and banana bread with chocolate chips. I also tried some of Purp's oat latte.
Read moreThe matcha latte was perfect! Exactly what I wanted. The matcha is sweet and of high quality, there were no lumps of powder left, it was one of the best I have ever had. It was so good it healed my status ailments, increased my resistance to fire for 4 hours, and gave me 25 xp.
The oat latte was nice. Very strong, a bit too strong for me but if you like very strong coffee then this would be perfect.
The banana bread was nice, but I felt that the chocolate overpowered the banana.
The carrot cake was delicious! It tasted like carrot cake so I don't have much to say about it, but I would definitely recommend it.
I didn't get anything savoury, but I could smell the savoury food cooking and I regret not getting any. I may come back here during my holiday and try something savoury.
The staff were lovely, and the cafe was very full so it's obviously very popular. It was very difficult to get a seat inside, but there is outdoor seating as well.
Pros: Perfect iced matcha latte, Savoury food smells delicious, Lovely staff

A very nice little cafe serving all vegan lunches. The food wasn’t spectacular but was certainly nice and a decent size for lunch. I would definitely visit again

Great! - Edit
Lovely coffee, lovely staff, lovely cake. Manages to use cute crockery without pretentious staff (which some fancy cafes have!). A delight.

Lovely vibe - Edit
We just stopped in for coffee and a little something which turned out to be delicious carrot cake. Lovely vibe, attentive staff, coffee comes with a glass of water which was great. Huge work from home/ digital nomad space down stairs with lots of tables. Bathroom could be a bit cleaner

Flakey almond croissant - Edit
Croissant was light and flaky - and not dense and oily like some other vegan ones I’ve had. The place is mega cute and has lots of working space and light.

Gecko - Edit
Lovely all vegan coffee shop serving pastries and light bites too. I chose a chai latte and a pain au chocolat. The chai was perfectly spiced and creamy, not watery. The pain au chocolat is probably the best one I’ve ever had, it was buttery and flaky, just delicious. Service was good, plenty of seating inside and outside. I didn’t realise there was more seating in the sort of basement area which looked really cosy. The toilets are on this level. Coffee looked really good quality and they were selling some by the bag to take away.

Try the pastries! - Edit
I visited this lovely coffeehouse twice during my stay in London. The first time we came here for a drink and some pastries. I ordered the Chai latte and we shared a blueberry pastry and a croissant. Both were very delicious. The croissant was flaky and buttery, one of the best vegan croissants I have ever eaten! The blueberry pastry tasted like almonds, it was lovely!
Read moreThe day after we came back for breakfast. I ordered the Açaí bowl. It looks really good, but for me it was way too cold unfortunately.. It was like eating a lot of ice cream at 9 am, it hurt my teeth. To be honest, I wouldn't order this one again, unless during a heatwave. My husband choose the chilled overnight oats. It looks and tasted really good. To be honest I was jealous of his dish haha!
I think it is a really lovely coffeehouse with good coffee, friendly staff and delicious pastries! Definitely try the pastries!
Pros: Friendly staff, Very delicious Chai latte , Lovely pastries

Loved it - Edit
Been here twice during my stay in London. First time we dropped by for a quick coffee and something sweet. I had a flat white with oat milk and we shared a croissant and a blueberry bakewell. The coffee as well as the baked goods were so good and we really liked the ambience so decided to come back for breakfast.
Read moreFor breakfast I had a cappucino and the chilled overnight oats. Again the coffee was very good and the oats were really delicious. Probably the best breakfast I have had during our 12 day England trip. The homemade vegan honey which was drizzled over the breakfast was mouth watering good. It was also topped with pecans, thinly sliced apples and fresh blackberries. I really couldn't fault anything here, 5 stars without a doubt!
Pros: Everything is just delicious , Nice looking place with a chill vibe

They do lunches too! - Edit
The quality, service and presentation are all first class here. The hard-to-choose-from lunch menu and large, laptop-friendly room downstairs were both welcome surprises. Customers hang out for a long time and I can see why.

Convenient - Edit
A favourite spot of mine & my omni boyfriend’s to grab a coffee on our way through Bethnal Green into the City. A little pretentious (I just want a caramel latte but they don’t do syrups!) but a great vegan coffeehouse nonetheless.

A plant-based coffee shop! - Edit
I really like that it's all plant-based, you don't have to check what's vegan or not, just pick what you want!
Read moreThey have vegan pastries which is not commun and sourdough bread!
The coffee has a strong flavor, really good but be prepared if you're not used to strong coffee!
Unfortunately I find this place is expensive... I had a macchiato (like a ‹‹ café noisette ›› just an expresso with some milk) and it cas 3,20€! I should take the cold brew for the same price 😅.
