Highly recommend! We had the Tagliere vegana, focaccia, vegan spaghetti puttanesca & Jackson vegan pizza (I was sure to ask for tomato sauce after seeing another review here that said if you don’t ask, you won’t get sauce). Everything was delicious and the service was excellent!

Decent vegan options, great service and ambiance - Edit
Charming Italian restaurant on Coronado Island. Menu includes a vegetarian/vegan section and describes a few vegan items. We ordered gnocchi with vegan pesto and a vegan pizza. Waitstaff helpfully pointed out vegan menu items and recommended lemon sorbet as a vegan dessert option. Food was delicious and service was outstanding. The best vegan food that we've found on Coronado Island. Highly recommend.

Great spot for a day in Coronado - Edit
With an absence of many vegan options in Coronado, the intentionality of the Buono Forchetta menu was def appreciated. We ordered the charcuterie board with a garlic flatbread. It was the perfect light lunch that offered a variety of flavors. The ambience was really cool—the restaurant was set up in an old car mechanic garage. We loved the little shop with all the gourmet Italian imports and even picked up some holiday gifts there. While the restaurant doesn’t yet have vegan desserts on the menu, they do have some treats in the store.

The vegan cheese for the pizza tasted like follow your heart. They have a vegan pesto pizza (Piera) with mushrooms that was super good.
We started with the Tagliere Vegano which had grilled zucchini, eggplant, cherry tomatoes, and onions as well as walnuts and grapes.
Make a reservation in advance if you want to dine here in the summer. Lots of outdoor seating.

Small tweaks - Edit
My hubby enjoyed his mushroom pasta but I found the beet salad to be unremarkable. The beets should have been roasted and spiced nuts added for vegans. While servers and staff were friendly, it was slow and most likely suffering from the labor shortage.

Make sure to say that you want tomato sauce when ordering the vegan pizza! Otherwise the pizzas come without any sauce.

Interesting venue - converted garage / mechanic shop. Full bar and seating inside as well as our. Lots of wine and cans / jars of Italian products Several labeled vegan options - I had the Jackson pizza - artichokes, onions, tomatoes, arugula and vegan cheese which was great.
