Interesting, not amazing - Edit
Honestly, if I had to guess I’d say their other options are better, but I got their vegan korean chicken bowl after the worker offered me a sample. Very little seating, but it was pretty quiet at 8pm so I was able to grab a spot.
Read moreMy chicken bowl was okay, the whole time I was a little confused as to what I was eating. The fried mushroom chicken was for sure yummy and well-done, but there was SO MUCH of it…then the rest of the bowl was like a tiny serving of noodles (to me, seemed like angel hair pasta lol), a few leafy greens, and some tomato/onion. Again, it was definitely not bad, but I was just so confused, and wishing there was less chicken and more other stuff (this coming from a guy who LOVES his vegan meat substitutes)
I’m definitely more of a traditional falafel guy, but I was really drawn in by the vegan chicken sample. I probably won’t go back, but if I did, I would rather pick some other option. Overall, pretty good value for the money, but the bowl was 75% fried mushroom chicken and 25% other paltry offerings. Hence, can’t really rate it above average…
Pros: Cool concept, Well-done vegan korean “chicken”
Cons: A little salty and oily, The stuff besides the chicken in the bowl was weir

Innovative fusion cuisine - Edit
We got the kimchi bowl and the chicken bowl (unfortunately forgot the names), both were really good. I like that they are doing something different, and korean and lebanese is a very interesting and innovative combination. Staff was very friendly.

Super cuisine fusion... - Edit
Mélanger la cuisine coréenne avec la libanaise, il fallait oser mais le résultat est juste incroyable. Le houmous au kimchi est exceptionnel et le falafel bowl un délice. Les serveuses sont tout simplement adorables. Super rapport qualité-prix…

gangnam falafel got me THROUGH my first year of uni, as it was right outside of my apartment; and was extremely well suited to gluten free allergies.

Disappointed (too oily/fat, not fresh) - Edit
I was super disappointed by GangNam Falafel (though commonly enthusiastic about Parisian veg restaurants). The food is way too oily/fat, not fresh (spices, herbs, lemon juice), it basically lacks flavour. I wouldn't recommend (and I am sorry to tell it as the reviews look quite positive). If you are looking for some fat and good vegan food, go to Theory (vegan restaurant close to GangNam).

Delicious Fusion - Edit
At first this fusion of Lebanese and Korean cuisines sounded strange but after trying the falafel I am hooked. The portions are huge and the flavour combination incredible. The proprietors are very friendly and explain everything. Also try the fried mushroom. My new go-to place for falafel.

Worth a visit - Edit
We really enjoyed the food here and the staff talked us through everything as soon as we arrived.
Read moreWe tried the mushroom and chicken boxes and the falafel wrap. The boxes were very garlic heavy (a bit too much for me) but otherwise were nicely flavoured. Good portions sizes. The falafel was a great wrap to take away.
Our favourite was the fried tortilla wrap slices with hummus and kimchi tip. Greasy in a good way and really flavourful. We went back the next day to order it again!
They have seating in a separate unit a few doors down too. Worth a visit!
Pros: Friendly staff, Very fair prices , Good portions
Cons: Very garlic heavy on the chicken/ mushroom

Lovely staff, aweful food - Edit
I should have known that it was a place to avoid the moment I sampled their "mushroom", it was bad : too sweet with too much bad quality garlic, and this was the base of their menu, it was on every dish !
Read moreI also tried their corn-dog, half a sausage, covered in a big slice of white bread, with a little bit of cheese on top.
I usually never waste food, but this time I couldn't finish, had I ate more I'm pretty sure I'd have thrown it up.
Pros: Lovely staff, Everything was clean, Cozy
Cons: Aweful food, Very greasy and too sweet

Sounds weird, right? It is. - Edit
I was really looking forward to trying this place. I love both Korean and Lebanese food, but could not image how they’d work together. Could they? Would they? Short answer: no.
Read moreAs with so many fusion restaurants, their Korean food is not as good as what you’d find and a Korean place, and their Lebanese food is not as good as what you’d find at a Lebanese place. That would be fine if the combination worked well and turned out to be more than the sum of its parts, but it didn’t and it wasn’t.
The staff were INCREDIBLY friendly and welcoming; they offered me a fried mushroom to try that was pretty tasty, so all started well enough. I opted for the Summer Bowl (with extra falafels), since it had both falafels and kimchi, and it was as weird as expected but not as good as hoped for. My first bite was of tteokbokki, and it was great. I should have ordered extras of those. The rest wasn’t very good, however. The falafels were awful, nicely fried on the outside but mushy and undercooked inside. And their flavor was off somehow. The kimchi wasn’t spicy at all and did not pair well with the hummus. The combination of flavors was pretty off-putting, which is why, I suppose, the server advised me not to mix stuff up in the bowl but to keep each element distinct. Yeah, right. What, then, is the point of the fusion?
Paris is full of great falafel places (both Lebanese style and Israeli style) and presumably has some good Korean restaurants (though I haven’t tried any here); go to those instead of Gangnam Falafel.
