So cute and tasty! - Edit
I loved this cafe, the vibes are great and it is dog friendly! My friend and I hopped over here cause I really wanted to get a vegan pastel de nata in the city, but we decided to get breakfast here too. I got this toasted cheesy sandwich with ham and it was so filling and savory. I would definitely go back here again!

Pretty good - Edit
We got the salmon bagel, peanut butter pancakes, ham and cheese croissaint and chocolate croissant.
Read moreHam and cheese croissaint was simple but good, it seemed freshly made with nice tomato and lettuce.
Chocolate croissaint was delicious.
The peanut butter pancakes were pretty basic but the peanut butter made it difficult to eat as it felt quite "dry" in the mouth, we asked for some syrup to help "moisten" them
The salmon bagel was good too, the salmon texture wasn't my favourite but the overall flavour was good

Cute coffee place - Edit
It is a small cute vegan cafe. The staff is friendly. The atmoshpere is nice. I ordered ham and cheese croissant and found it a bit dry for a pastry. It crumbles all over the table. Vegan ham and cheese were placed cold, made it feel like a cold sandwich from a fridge. For the toast, maybe some sauce or small green next to it would be a great addition, otherwise the food is only bread. The sink in the toilet is very loose, hard to wash your hands and the water spills all over.
Read moreI really think the place has a good potential, the coffee is delicious, pastel de nata is very tasty. The decoration is nice and cozy. I understand that this is relatively a new place, maybe only they need some time to improve going forward.

My second time at Gal, and I ordered the delicious Tofu dish with couscous, avocado, hummus and other veges. The atmosphere is lovely, and the staff very friendly. The cafe also has wifi, if you want to get any work done.

Exactly the kind of place you whish to find as vegan when you are travelling - Edit
A small, lovely decorated cafe opened by a very kind owner, who even gave us recommendations for other good quality vegan places in Lisbon.
Read moreAlso very nice and friendly staff, answering all questions and giving us local tipps for our vacation. You feel heartly welcome and the food is good quality, well-choosen and something special with good portions and decent prices - this place felt for us runned with love and an eye for details.
Went there 3 times in our one-week vacation for breakfast. Definitely recommend this place!
My personal highlight was the scrambled tofu: Its something special what I didn't find anywhere else so far, so deliciously seasoned! Other highlights wher the ham & cheese croissant, the grilled ham & cheese sandwich and the pancakes! Keep up the good work GAL!

Amazing Food, Great Vibe - Edit
On holiday in Lisbon, I was looking for a vegan restaurant where I could finish some writing projects. I stumbled upon GAL Cafe, and I’m delighted that I did. There are few places in Lisbon with enough space to actually get some work done. GAL is very different. The tables are large enough for a laptop and the atmosphere is conducive for creative pursuits. Plus, you don’t have a server hovering over you, expecting you to leave the moment your food is in your belly. The owner, Jonathan, is a cool guy. And he speaks English well (if that matters to you).
Read moreThe most incredible thing about GAL is the food – which, I guess, is why you’re still reading this review. The food is so good that I traveled across town three days in a row to eat here. The breakfasts are especially incredible. The pancakes are divine and the savory dishes are packed with fresh flavor. The chocolate croissant is melt in your mouth delectable!
And just to stress how amazing this place is, two of the three days I was in Lisbon. I stayed for breakfast and lunch! If you are a vegan and Lisbon, add this to your list of must see places! You won’t be disappointed. 😋
Pros: The breakfasts (all of them), The atmosphere—great for working, The owner, Jonathan—what a cool guy!

Perfect Vegan Cafe - Edit
Staff were really friendly & helpful, we had the tofu scramble & the peanut butter & banana pancakes, with 2 flat whites. The coffee was perfect & my pancakes, so rich, thick & delicious. The tofu scramble came nicely presented with toast & had coriander & cherry tomatoes in. We also had two pasties de natas which were fresh out of the oven. The place has a really laid back vibe. We will be back.
Read moreWe went back twice more for breakfast, the pancakes are incredible, some of the best I've had! The coffee is really tasty too, I always had to have a second. We tried the cheese & ham toast, the cashew cream toast. We also got some of the small snacks to go. The owner is such a lovely person I wish him & this place great success. There is love & passion in the food created here, a must visit.

Amazing place for vegans! - Edit
I absolutely loved it! There’s so many choices on the menu, some classics and some creative options, which I adore in vegan cafes. We tried the “brie” and artichoke paste bagel, as well as the tofu green sandwich and both were delicious. I also liked the iced coffee, it was made just how I like it. Overall, I really recommend this place and can’t wait to be back!
