Great food!

We found this restaurant through online recommandations and It is really worth stopping by.
They serve very interesting and tasty fusion dishes, predominantly Indian but not only.
And of course you get a large selection of vegan options.
I loved my super hot tokka massala burger!

It’s okay

I got the “Tikka Masala Vegan Burger” and…it just tasted like a beyond burger. I guess I was expecting something more creative. For example, infusing the flavor inside the patty rather than just a mild-flavored sauce on the side.

A few other issues: loud pop music playing inside, a pickup order that took 40 minutes instead of the 20 minutes estimated, a pricey bill.

Cons: A bit of a gimmick, Delayed orders on a slow night, Price

Yummy

I got the vegan masala burger and was so happy with its spice level 🌶️ and we got their vegan vegetable momos. They have clearly marked vegan options so we will be coming back!

05/24 just got their tofu masala (spicy) it was incredible and so filling! Wish it had vegetables too but nonetheless 10/10

Unique offerings!

I tried the vegan tikka masala burger because .... when else am I ever gonna have the opportunity to eat that? It was really tasty, even just the bun was great. I got curly fries and they were PERFECT. and their samosas are the fluffiest samosas I've ever had.

Pros: Unique options, Clearly labeled menu, Friendly staff

Funky fusion adventure

What a unique place! As a group we love an adventure, so the table went for as many weird options as we could and we were not disappointed.

Vegan Masala burger? Vegan Philly cheese steak? Tofu Saag? All at the same place? Check, check, check.

More of a novelty spot in my opinion, but would not be sad to go back for more adventures. Well located to visit ahead of the Santa Fe Art Walk on a Friday.

Pros: So many vegan options, Creative fushion menu

Cons: Limited drink options, Not a fully vegan restaraunt

An Amazing Vegan Burger!

Masala Burger has taken over the old Illegal Burger location. They haven't yet changed the décor, so it's a mix of Indian and the old jailhouse motif of Illegal Burgers. Order at the counter, the menu projected on the screen has some vegan items listed but they have an extensive laminated menu that breaks down the different vegan items and lists their ingredients. They don't fully understand the difference between vegetarian and vegan, but once I explained no dairy they anchored on that and made sure I wanted the "no dairy bun, no dairy cheese". Nim who took my order also made sure the cook understood "no dairy" on the vegan burger.

I ordered the vegan ninja burger with sweet potato fries and it's an amazing flavor combination. A really great burger. They provided a side of vegan masala sauce for the fries. Nim also explained their falafel sandwich is naturally vegan, and suggested the vegan momos for my next trip (he said steamed was his preference).

Pros: Legit vegan options, Clearly marked menu, Fast service

Cons: Having to clarify "dairy free" is a minor nuance
