Tasty Vegan menu

They have ≈9 vegan dishes and an option where you get 3 smaller portions of different vegan dishes.

Maybe on of the best places to eat in Stavanger, both for vegansk and meat eaters if you go out with someone opposed to eating vegan.

Pros: Really good, Friendly staff

Great experience

First time trying Ethiopian food, very delicious. Clearly marked vegan options, had the Vegan special which was a mix of 3 menu options with 3 Injera rolls for 215 NOK. Place looked nice and clean, got decently crowded on friday just after opening.

Pros: Food taste, Price, Place

Healthy, delicious and authentic

Very well crafted atmosphere with an authentic Ethiopian, unique touch to the whole place. It helps that I also had a wonderful meal. The vegan options are clearly labelled (along with a whole vegan section) and are varied.

Go here if you’re in Stavanger

Would give them 5 stars if I could. Best food I had in Stavanger. Already a fan of the cuisine, but this place is the best I’ve had yet. We had the 3 person spicy vegan plate and loved it a lot. Especially the chickpea balls in brown sauce.

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Great tasting food, Friendly staff

Unique restaurant in Stavanger

Gådjå is a wonderful restaurant, with a lot of charm and very tasty food. All dishes are traditional Ethiopian cuisine based mostly on beans and lentils spiced with Berbere.

Would recommend the Vegan Special Beyeaynetu to get a test of multiple dishes in one serving. Gådjå even serves a vegan ice cream for dessert.

Pros: Fair pricing, An vegan menu with lots of options, Genuine Ethiopian cuisine by Ethiopian staff

Cons: Lost some of its early vegan focus

Magnificent food

Many vegan options, delicious food and nice service. The interior was comfy and well decorated.
We ordered the number 17b (vegan special Beyeaynetu) for 2 people. It was cool to share one plate and we really enjoyed eating with our fingers :)

Pros: Many vegan options, Nice service and comfy place, Great food

Top notch Ethiopian food with plenty of vegan options

From the outside the restaurant looks a bit shady but this all changes once you get inside! They have a very atmospheric indoor decor that will get you in the mood for good food. I had the Vegan Special Beyeaynetu which was a combination sample of multiple of their vegan offerings. The food was incredible: it was fulfilling, well-spiced, and flavourful. All main courses are served with injera bread. Which is lovely by itself. A great place to have dinner! Make sure to end it with an Ethiopian coffee. 👌😻

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Friendly and helpful staff, Atmospheric indoor decoration

Wonderful food and very nice staff

We had the vegan special and it was wonderful! The taste is amazing, for every stew they had the taste was wonderful! Prices are very affordable, staff was nice and they even had Portuguese red wine, that was the cherry on top ;)

Yummy

The food at Gadja Etiopisk was absolutely delightful. I have eaten at Ethopian restaurants elsewhere before but this one was the best Ethiopian food I had so far.

Pros: excellent food, beautifully presented, lots of vegan dishes

Very good

Lots of vegan options - and a mixed platter to try them all. Yummy and filling (all those lentils...). None of the vegan options are spicy as in hot, but they are full of flavour.

Don't forget to order a pot of Ethiopian coffee afterwards.

Pros: Tasty, Cosy place, Nice staff

Cons: Be prepared to wait for your food (it is worth it)

Really tasty food. The menu has been updated since some of the photos here - it’s now on one A4 page with half of the dishes being vegan. We will be returning!

Tasty Food with Vegan Options

The food was flavourful. I had not tried Ethiopian before so didn't know what to expect. The bread that came with the meal was cold and had the texture of a spongy crepe.

Yummy!

The staff here are super friendly and the place has a really nice atmosphere! There is a whole vegan section to the menu with quite a few choices. We took the sharing plate and it tasted really good. It's kind of expensive but so is everything in Stavanger, so we just went for it and it's worth it!

Eat exotic food with your hands

Eating here is an experience more than just a meal. The food is served on large "enjera", (Ethiopian pancake like bread) and you eat it with your hands, by ripping a piece of the enjera and using that to pick up the various stews and mashes. It's very different to western food and delicious. They have a vegan menu, and are a popular place for local vegans. The atmosphere is also very nice.

Pros: accustomed to vegan customers , vegan ice cream option, relatively cheap

Authentic Ethiopian food

Small place with friendly staff, a simple menu and reasonable prices. The food is a little on the oily side but great to have once in a while.

Pros: good value

Cons: limited choices
