  • Farmers-market Farmer's Market

Affordable central farmers market has a comprehensive range of mostly organic local fruit and vegetables. Also has a wide range of nuts & seeds, as well as imported goods. A few hours before closing time the produce thins out. Vendors that sell non-vegan & non-vegetarian items are positioned together so are easy to avoid. Open Mon-Sat 6:00am-6:00pm, Sun 6:00am-2:00pm.

whole food paradise

kinda like other markets in the city, but this ones the cheapest.

I highly recommend the MAZAFATI dates that shouldnt go for more than 150 dinars per 500g box. theyre imported from Iran and some of the best fruit you'll ever have. just open the box before hand and have a look to check youre not buying old product.

so many bananas to choose from, so many apples, kiwi fruits and more fresh fruit. I lived here for three months in winter and didnt see any watermelon, papaya or mangoes, other than that and sweet potatoes (which were available in supermarkets) this place gave me all the fruit and veg I needed, which was a lot.

they have so much variety here (even in winter) that it really could be a whole-food vegans one-stop shop.

Pros: great prices, mazafati dates, spinach

Cons: smelly dead animals, but at least easy to avoid
