Rainy day warmth - Edit
We went on a rainy rainy night and it was packed. We sat at the bar and watched the Take out orders flying in and being made.
Read moreI got the vegan ramen, which is the only option on the menu. It was decent. The broth was good and had a good flavor to it. Personally it was packed with a bunch of raw veggies. Which for me I don’t like raw veggies in my soups. I want everything I’m eating to be warm or sautéed up. I will say the bok choy looked sautéed. It was also not a creamy broth that you find with traditional ramen. Which isn’t a bad thing. The noodles were on point 👌🏼
I did have to ask for them to heat my ramen up though. Personally I like when my soup is steaming when it arrives. Everyone else’s that I was with came out hot though! Was probably a weird thing that doesn’t happen often but they made no complaints to heating it up for me.
Would come back and maybe ask for just bok choy and noodles in mine instead of all the raw veggies on top.

Delicious Ramen! - Edit
I got the Niwa bowl and it was amazing! Such a rich savory flavor. There are also a few other vegan options! (Sushi, buns, rice bowl) Our waitress was also super friendly and I really enjoyed eating outside!

Went on a Monday. They were out of half the menu items. Felt very lucky they were able to make a vegan menu item. I am a very big fan of ramen and would eat there any time any day

Delicious vegan poke bowl with delicious veggies on top. They also have vegan bao buns and a rice bowl. Not a bunch of options but the stuff they do have is great!

Very limited vegan options(which they ran out of!) - Edit
Super small space and very busy. Went with a group of friends and was highly disappointed. They ran out of the vegan bowl so when you have 5 vegans in your group it’s an issue. Staff member initially was quite aggressive and defensive then calmed some later and tried to accommodate but damage was done. The one meat eater in the group ordered tuna tartar and didn’t finish as he said was not good.

Had the edamame beans , they were good and the Brussels sprouts. The Rice bowl was average . There were 4 of us and they didn’t have enough vegan items left for us so we had to share . I wouldn’t choose it again

Great service and fast! We were traveling and stopped here for dinner. The food was phenomenal. Unfortunately it was packed to the walls and loud. The drinks were overpriced ($8 tiny shot of saki) but the small vegan rice bowl was so good. I wish I could have had brown rice but I wasn't offered a choice or it wasn't apparent. I would go again and try to come when it's not crowded. My daughter was happy with a bowl of rice and edamame as well. Not the best place for kids but very accommodating and they gave her training chopsticks which she was thrilled about. You have to get out and walk to find it, it's off the street a bit.

Ramen Love - Edit
I love Futo Buta. I’ve been here several times and never had a bad experience. At this point, I’m pretty sure I’ve eaten all of the vegan options, and I was so happy that they had a vegan seasonal option recently. My omnivore friends love this place too, so it’s pretty much perfect. It can get REALLY busy sometimes, though, and there isn’t a convenient place to wait for a table.

I always love this place! I love their tofu skewers and vegan ramen bowl. Ive subbed tofu in seasonal bowls or built my own (basically) and they’ve always been more than accommodating. They give you siracha and chili oil with your meal ❤️

I am a HUGE fan of ramen, and I was super stoked that this place offered a vegan bowl! Glancing at the menu, I did not see anything else vegan, but I was there for ramen. What I ended up with was a $12 bowl of exceptionally greasy noodles in a tasteless broth. Very disappointed! I think this is a great place for meat eaters (my husband enjoyed his pork belly bowl immensely), but for the vegans, I'd advise skipping this one.

Not sure if any of the apps are vegan- I just wanted ramen so I didn't ask. The Vegan ramen was delicious! I've found it's hard to come by, and I would come back here again to get the same dish! Wish they had more than one vegan ramen, of course, but the one they do have is delicious !

It's Futo Buta and they have an amazing vegan ramen bowl on the menu. It is labeled as such. A couple of their appetizers are vegan as well, but I usually just stick to the ramen because it's a big meal as is.
