Cheap and tasty - Edit
Fujiya is my go-to sushi place because it is closer to my house than other sushi restaurants. The parking is a bit difficult but I really like their agedashi tofu so I keep coming back. Check the booklet (or ask) to view ingredients - they have all ingredients listed for every single menu item.
Read moreThe tempura used on the sweet potato contains egg last I checked. The coating on the tofu does not. The miso soup contains fish.
Some of my favourite vegan options: Agedashi tofu, edamame (though it is chilled and I prefer warmed), vegetable gyoza, avocado and mango roll (seasonal - only in summer), and inari.
There is also a vegetable bento at lunch that contains seaweed salad, vegetables rolls, and agedashi tofu. There are a variety of vegetable rolls include a mixed vegetable (carrot, cucumber, avocado) and cucumber maki.
I buy some of my ingredients here because they have some good noodle varieties and lots of hard-to-find sauces. They also have roasted nori (10 sheets) for under $3 which is a record low in Victoria.
Pros: Plenty of vegan options, Prices are much lower than other places, Ingredients available
Cons: Also serve meat, Some items unexpectedly contain egg
