Needs to improve taste slightly

The soup with Veg Hakka traditional thunder set was tasteless and bland. No salt, no seasonings. Had to eat raw rice. Ordered Singapore laksa as well, it was good.

24 hours of goodness

Very tasty Mee Goreng, but Lei Cha Tea set has a piece of sand in it. Good thing it's not a rock.

Food taste ok.

Improve the efficiency and the manner they operate the food. It’s messy and POV hygiene level can be better.

Pros: New menu with more choices

Cons: Very slow operation despite with 4 staff, I believe some staff is new, The way they operate in e store is MESSY

Poor

1: a bowl of laksa that is covered with oil and tasteless (probably forgot to add salt that day) 😅
2: Kway chap is sweet and messy (Not my type)...
3: wanton noodle was soggy (unless you prefer soft noodles or else you might want to inform them the noodle texture)

Updated from previous review on 2022-12-08

Cons: The Service is a total mess especially peak hours, Food is like trying at your own risk

LeiCha Tasteless and very dilute

If no good in specific dishes, better take out from menu instead of promoting it in such big pictures

Pros: Many varieties , Location n environment looks good

Cons: LeiCha taste is very very below expectation , Tasteless n dilute, only give 0.5 point out of 5

Thunder tea rice

Checked out this new vegetarian stall at a newly opened coffeeshop. Tried the thunder tea rice, was ok but the taste of the tea could be much stronger. There’s no cai po or taukwa added.

I'm a Lei Cha fan

Leicha tastes good, ordered via Grab many times during CB, finally had the chance to try it at the shop. The leicha soup used to taste better, now is normal. Stall is located at the other end of Block 848 (opposite SS). Have white/brown rice option. Tried their fried beehoon too, big packet.

Super Oily

Foods serve here are super oily... taste wise is just so so only. Not for those health conscious people out there like me. 2Veg 1 Main dish is $3.70. Quite expensive To be frank.

Pros: near mrt station

Cons: oily, no air con

Nice stir fried

What a pity that only open half day. Why stall in Khatib all only open half day. Business is so good.

Value For Money

When I first visited this stall a few months ago, I thought it was just another typical Chinese vegetarian stall.

After a few more visits, I realised they do serve some uncommon dishes occasionally like sweet potato leaves, lotus roots, kelp, tempeh, various mushrooms (oyster, enoki, monkeyhead, straw) and melons/gourds that I do not know the names of. They also serve petai on a daily basis but it may be sold out depending on the time of visit.

I suggest going before 10am if you wish to experience the variety of cai png dishes and after 11am for the zi char dishes.

One thing I want to commend is that their brown rice is always well-cooked (the way I like it) and they charge the same price for brown and white rice which I think encourages healthy eating.

The cai png pricing as seen in the photo is probably the cheapest and best value-for-money I have ever seen in Singapore. Do PM me if you see a better deal elsewhere.

According to the stall head, they have been in business here for slightly over a year and they have branched out from another stall in Pasir Ris. I did an online search on their name but couldn't find anything. Maybe it went by a different name.

This is my 1st review at happycow and I hope it is helpful especially for fellow vegetarian tourists taking the MRT to Khatib for the free shuttle bus to the zoo. This is currently the nearest vegetarian stall to Khatib MRT that serves a full meal.

I also suggest buying takeout at this stall even though it is not that environmentally friendly. (Reasons stated in cons below)

Pros: Cheap, Uncommon cai png dishes, Some dishes got the homecooked taste

Cons: Birds feeding on leftovers inside the coffeeshop, Dine-ins served on a piece of paper over a tray, Dine-outs not exactly environmentally friendly too

Hi CherylQuincy!

I forgot to add that the coffeeshop is opposite the 24hr Sheng Siong. Next to Fu Kang is a stall selling kueh and a shop selling fruits. There is a POSB ATM directly in front of Fu Kang too.
