For Vegans, Breakfast and lunch get left behind or stripped down to basics; We get avocado toast or the occasional tofu scramble. Frutas Prohibidas has decided to provide something more and provide it at an extremely high level.
Read moreThe Eggs Benedict (no matter the style you choose) is a marvel of vegan ingenuity. I was stunned by the texture of the outside. I was stunned again when I cut through it to find the gooey yoke. I've never had anything like it in my life. Paired with the hollandaise sauce, truffle pearls, and parmesan cheese, It becomes the perfectly concocted dish.
We also ordered two drinks: the Red velvet latte (Beet and chocolate) and the blue latte (Spirulina). The red velvet latte has a delicate taste, but the Spirulina was wonderfully sweet and full of flavor.
The sleek, modern decor is comforting and cool. Get there early because the place fills up quickly, watching as multiple groups were turned away within the first half an hour of opening. You will not be disappointed.

Read moreAfter some nagging from friends I gave it another chance and... Food was delicious. Really excellent, but the prices are... Way high. Almost 14€ for a small sandwich is excessive for Spain. Many of the people eating there were tourists and I feel like it heavily caters to them.
So yeah, touristy, Instagram bait, pricey but really really good.

Where do I start? The staff are very friendly and helpful, the menu is extensive, and the food is just out of this world! My husband and I wanted to try the vegan eggs but could decide between original and truffle, so went half-and-half. They were delicious! We also shared a plate of ribs and quesadillas. We were stuffed by the end but it was worth it! Can't recommend highly enough.

New vegan place for me in madrid - Edit
The food was OK. I had the chicken wings and the double vegan burger. For my drink the purification. I spent €35. I had a black coffee that I had to return because it was like consommé or dirty water. I was told that is how an americano is served in Spain. I had to wait some time to be acknowledged after seating and for the table to be cleared after finishing .

Read moreLamentamos que las opciones sin gluten en nuestro brunch y platos salados no te hayan convencido, aunque no pensamos que sean tan limitadas: Tenemos pan sin gluten BIO elaborado artesanalmente para las tostadas de tomate o de aguacate y hummus y para nuestras Burgers, las cuales ninguna tiene gluten, a excepción de la de pulledpork, que esa sí tienen. Por otro lado, tenemos opciones como por ejemplo todos los zumos, smoothies y bebidas calientes, tanto superfood Lattes como Café de Especialidad, que son sin gluten. También las limonadas. Todos nuestros smoothie bowls van con granola casera que tiene gluten, pero también puedes cambiar esta granola por otros frutos secos, toppings o más fruta. Los nachos si les quitas el pulledpork, así como la entrada de los Korn Ribs tampoco tienen gluten. Las cheesecakes tampoco tienen gluten. Aunque el pan se hace 100% sin gluten en un obrador que nos da el certificado, al manipularlo en nuestra cocina, ya que solo tenemos un espacio, en la que también usamos pan con gluten, así como ocurriría con otros productos, puede contener trazas por la contaminación cruzada.

Every single item on this menu is delectable! I am never a person who eats past the point of being full, but this restaurant was the rare exception! There were too many delectable items to choose from, but we ended up getting several of them amongst our party. The vegan French toast is out of this world, the Mojito somehow makes cocktails, seem healthy, the tacos are extremely flavorful and filling, if I had a restaurant like this at home I would be eating here daily. We walked a mile and a half and scorching heat to get to this restaurant because of the reviews and it did not disappoint!
