You can build your burrito, rice bowl or tacos. Once you enter the store, go directly to the kitchen counter where the staff will guide you through the process of creating your meal. For vegans, the main and the topping should be only avocado guacamole and lettuce, but there are several vegan options, such as black beans, cilantro lime rice, fajita, salsas (roasted chilli corn salsa, fresh tomato salsa, green chilli tomatillo salsa and red chilli salsa.) You can get all of the options at once in your order!
Read moreI ordered a regular size burrito (for about 1300 JPY) with a whole wheat tortilla (at an extra cost of 30 JPY) and with all vegan options except for the hottest red chilli salsa, which I regretted missing because other salsas were not as hot as I expected. Luckily, I found bottles of Tabasco and habanero at the return counter, so I put some habanero sauce on my burrito! Other than that, the taste was delicious, and the quantity was generous to me. Upon your request, the staff will cut your burrito in half. Also, you can buy a coffee for just 100 JPY, but only if you order their food. On top of that, coffee refills are free!
Frijoles doesn’t use any MSG, artificial preservatives or synthetic colourants in their products. Personally, this company’s efforts are enough to make up for the downside of their relatively high prices.
