When we were ordering a vegan cone, the employee used a dipper from the communal bucket with all the dippers. We asked if they had separate dippers for the vegan flavors, but they said not right then. I asked if they could use a clean one since we were choosing vegan ice cream for a kid with a dairy allergy. They said they didn't have set protocols for allergies.
Read moreThey did end up washing a dipper before serving the vegan scoop, which was nice, but we would have been cross contaminated pretty badly had we not spoken up.
So be aware if you are getting scoops that they might be used on the dairy offerings too without a wash.
(It is possible they have updated how they do this. We have not been back for their vegan offerings but have had their regular dairy items a couple of times. The ice cream is good.)

We are so so glad to have found this ice cream mecha in the middle of Lexington. The vegan flavors are always on the menu and most everything can be made vegan. Clearly labeled options on the menu. Plus the music and 50s vibe are fantastic. This is our new go-to ice cream spot

Lots of vegan options, including whipped cream, waffle cones, and syrups! So rich and creamy, too; the vegan ice cream here actually satisfies that ice cream craving and has the same amazing mouthful of dairy-based ice creams— minus the moo!

Vegan Milkshakes♥️ - Edit
This is such a cute shop with great hours. I called before hand to check out the vegan ice cream flavors available. There were 7 and the staff was knowledgable about what they had for vegans. They also have a drive thru which made ordering easy. I got a double scoop bowl of black cherry and mint chip with almond whip and a cherry. My husband got an oreo milkshake. I'll also add they have multiple milk options! Both of us love our ice cream. I would give this place five stars if it was all vegan, but they do have more animal based products than vegan, but they do have amazing options for vegans.
