When I ordered an acai bowl, I was told that there was no sugar in the granola. (Now, note, if I don't want sugar in granola, it would make sense I'd want the unsweetened acai, right?) Well, they give me the SWEETENED acai. Their mistake but they made me pay for it. Like the nice person I am, I gave my bowl away to another customer and walked out. I know they have another store in Bernardsville, so I called hoping the owner was there. She was. I complained and she got VERY DEFENSIVE but did say she'd give me another free (well, the one I PAID for). She called the Cranford store to tell them to make me one.
WELL, when I went back, the two workers gave me the dirtiest looks! The one girl handed it to me like she was giving up a $100 dollar bill or something. Total bad vibe energy.
This is why I will never go there again. I do not like nasty people who can't own up to the fact that THEY messed up! Let me enlighten all of you, when you leave your little cashier job and get out into the real world where you're not protected by a cushy "mama bear" it's pretty ugly.
Also, I had a quick conversation with the owner about health. She's totally clueless. It's not a place you can trust. Better off going to White Castle for an Impossible Burger. At least you know it's junk food and it's not disguised as "health" food.
