One of my fave casual spots! - Edit
I enjoy the casual atmosphere. They don’t have a huge staff so the wait times can be a bit longer but it’s always worth it! The employees there are really friendly and accommodating. Although it’s not a formal restaurant, the owner always comes to check if our food is good. The baklava is the best I’ve had. I LOVE their greek salad sandwich and pizzas. I just got their falafel sandwich. The sauce was a bit too salty but everything else was perfect.

Insanely Good - Edit
Hands down my favorite place for lunch, vegan or not. I used to go here often when I was a student at VCU and tried out many of the menu items. They didn't ever disappoint. My favorites were the potato salad, lentil burger and fennel apple slaw. All of the desserts and cupcakes I tried were very good, too. Everything is always incredibly fresh and tasty. The owner (now previous owner) was always quite pleasant and polite to customers. Have not been back since the pandemic began, but I am certain that under the new management they are still serving up some of the best vegan grub in the Richmond area. Cna't wait to go back and try out some of the new items on the menu!

Nice place, good chicken salad - Edit
We've been waiting to try this place for quite a few months since we live in the area and we were happy to see they opened up for takeout. We ordered a large mushroom pizza, a chicken salad sandwich with a side of pineapple coleslaw and the cobb salad. Overall, our favorite item was the chicken salad sandwich. The bread it came on was really hearty, the flavor was great, and it was quite filling. We also enjoyed how generous they were with the avocado on the cobb salad. The dressing the salad came with was very dill-forward though which we weren't expecting and we weren't big fans of the coleslaw. The pizza was decent with vegan cheese that melted well and the pine nuts were a nice touch. We also were happy to see that they are now serving all vegan food.

Eh - Edit
I’m hoping I just chose the wrong thing to try, because I want to like this place!! The employees were sweet and helpful, the cookie I got while waiting for my food was tasty, but once I got my food it was disappointing. The steak didn’t seem like it was supposed to be eaten. Suuuuper rubbery. The soup was very bland. I’d be willing to try again because of the nice atmosphere and convenience to my apartment, but so far unfortunately underwhelmed.

Why did I wait so long? - Edit
Every time I visit Richmond, Fresca on Addison comes up in my search, but I had never visited. We were starving and called in an order sort of on a whim and just WOW! My husband got a trio of tacos: avocado, seitan asada and chorizo and he was literally blown away. The tacos are not hot in temperature and the flavors were perfectly melded together. I order the Vegan Chicken Salad Sandwich with potato salad and was equally impressed. It was served in a pita and had the right amount of herbs. We also picked up a few cookies that were quite large and held together well--what is their secret? The signage on the outside of the building says "voted best Vegan restaurant in Virginia". Boy, did they get that right.

Great options - Edit
I have eaten there a few times and I have liked the experience each time. There is a lot of options from desserts to pizza to tacos to burgers. The only down side is they sell out near the end of the day and they close early on the weekends.

Excellent fresh + homemade vegetarian fast casual - Edit
Very friendly and very delicious vegetarian restaurant that was started in 2010. Food is very fresh and home made. Butternut squash soup with almonds was super. Tacos also fantastic, as was the lentil burger. Pizza was ok. Service was fantastic. 100% vegan except for milk for coffee and cheese for pizza (non-dairy available for both) — which is why I only gave four stars.

excellent pizza - Edit
They have a wood fired oven for their pizza, the mushroom one being the best. The crust is excellent, the best in Richmond. Their tacos are super and sometimes they make vegan deviled eggs that are awesome. They also make the best vegan cupcakes in town, hands down. We always order a couple dozen for parties.

Worst pizza ever - Edit
My boyfriend and I visited this resturant while exploring Richmond. It was cute, local, friendly staff - but this honestly may have been the worst pizza I've ever tasted.
Read moreThe banner reads that it's been voted some of the best veg food in Richmond - which was promising. We ordered a large pizza (plus a $2 upcharge for vegan cheese) with arugla. Simple pizza. But I must caution that this isn't your usual cheesy comfort food pizza.
The crust was ultra bland, which I'm assuming it was a cauliflower crust because it missed that flaky, fluffy crust us pizza eaters often expect. The cheese wasn't properly melted - kind of like hard crisps of daiya cheese. And the sauce was just not flavorful at all.
We literally took one bite each and immediately got a refund. We considered getting something else, but we were really in the mood for pizza. The staff was amazing. Refunded us quickly, and even genuinely asked why we didn't like it. We were honest and the server seemed truly disappointed that we choose not to stay.
I've considered that maybe this was an attempt at "healthy" pizza - which i can vibe with. But this was just a no for me.
Pros: Super friendly staff , Local, homegrown vibe
Cons: Food needs improvement, Parking

Amazing bread, perfect food, made with love - Edit
I love this place so much. I eat here very often. My favorite thing to order is the lentil burger with a side of potato salad. It's perfect. All bread is baked to order in their custom brick oven, and all the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. Vegans can order anything on the menu, and non-vegans will absolutely feel satisfied eating here. Keep an eye out for specials, since these are always delicious and usually feature local, seasonal ingredients. Not only is the food amazing, but the family who owns Fresca is so sweet. They really love what they do and love sharing it with others. I started going here for the food, but I keep coming back for the people.

This place is awesome! Everything is completely vegetarian and can easily be made vegan. I assume it was the owner who checked us out, brought us our food and dealt with our ridiculous excitement and she was fabulous. We tried the Vegan Deviled eggs, butternut squash soup, chicken salad sandwich and potato salad. Then went back for a cupcake. This will definitely be a place we visit often.

great place - Edit
My friend thinks this is the best veg place in Richmond (I give that to Harrison street but w/e) The woman who owns it is so nice and willing to make literally anything vegan if you ask. It's basically a vegan restaurant if you want. This is still the only place in the world that I know that has vegan deviled eggs as a side!
